Switching intention toward conversational AI for health information seeking: a push–pull–mooring analysis
Abstract Introduction: With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, users are increasingly turning to conversational AI for health information seeking. This study applies the Push-Pull-Mooring (PPM) framework to explain users' switching intention from social media to conversational AI for comparable health-information-seeking tasks. Methods: Survey data were collected from 2,876 Chinese respondents.
Anxiety in patients with lower-extremity deep vein thrombosis: a patient-centred sequential explanatory mixed-methods study of prevalence, associated factors, and patient experiences
Abstract Background: Lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (LEDVT) is associated with substantial psychological burden. Anxiety after DVT may reflect not only an emotional consequence of thrombosis, but also a signal of unmet informational, functional, and supportive care needs. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and factors associated with anxiety among LEDVT patients and to explore their lived experiences, perceived triggers, and support needs using a mixed-methods design.
An optimized angiographic protocol is associated with lower radiation exposure during uterine artery embolization in a retrospective before-after cohort study
Abstract This single-center retrospective before–after cohort study evaluated whether an optimized angiographic protocol is associated with reduced radiation exposure during uterine artery embolization (UAE). The optimized protocol included (i) direct selective catheterization under roadmap guidance, (ii) omission of routine non-selective aorto-iliac angiography, and (iii) hand-injection fluoroscopic assessment after embolization.

Spatiotemporal dynamics of tire wear particles reveal escalating emission inequalities across China’s road network
Abstract Non-exhaust emissions are rapidly emerging as a major contributor to traffic-related particulate pollution, yet their emission patterns and impacts remain poorly constrained at large spatial scales. Here we present a nationwide, road-network-resolved assessment of tire and road wear particles (TRWP), integrating harmonized field measurements, machine-learning models, traffic activity data, and epidemiological models.
Infection and α-ketoglutarate/oxygen inhibition converge to CDC20 to promote cancer cell aneuploidy
Abstract Aneuploidy is pervasive in cancers and contributes to chemoresistance; however, how aneuploidy-inducing stresses, such as infection and hypoxia, promote chemoresistance remains unclear. Here, we identify a prolyl hydroxylase domain protein 1 (PHD1)–E3 ubiquitin ligase TRIM21–cell division cycle protein 20 (CDC20) signaling axis that integrates infection- and PHD1-inhibitory signals to drive aneuploidy and chemoresistance.

Two-wave average/cumulative TyG-ABSI and incident cardiovascular disease in CKM syndrome: a CHARLS cohort study
Abstract Repeated TyG-ABSI measurements may capture longer-term metabolic and adiposity-related exposure, but their contribution beyond a baseline value remains uncertain. We examined associations of two-wave average/cumulative TyG-ABSI and two-time-point exposure-pattern categories with incident cardiovascular disease (CVD) among adults with cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome stages 0–3 in the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study.
Postoperative pulmonary complications after totally thoracoscopic cardiac surgery: a retrospective cohort study comparing single-lumen and double-lumen endotracheal tubes
Abstract Objective: Double-lumen tubes (DLTs) are standard for one-lung ventilation in totally thoracoscopic cardiac surgery but are associated with airway injury and postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs). This study compared perioperative outcomes between single-lumen tube (SLT)-based and DLT-based strategies in 176 adults undergoing elective totally thoracoscopic cardiac surgery (SLT, n = 94; DLT, n = 82). Methods: This was a single-center retrospective cohort study.
CD38-activated macrophages drive age-related placental senescence by depleting NAD + in decidual stromal cells
|
Abstract As delayed childbearing becomes increasingly common, elucidating the mechanisms of age-related placental senescence is critical for the development of effective therapeutic strategies. Here, we integrate metabolomics, single-cell RNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics to uncover conserved features of aged placentas in humans, mice, and pigs, namely, increased macrophage CD38 expression and NAD⁺ deficiency.

Inverse Design of Amorphous Materials With Targeted Properties
1 Introduction Amorphous materials are characterized by the absence of long-range atomic order, distinguishing them from crystalline materials with their periodic atomic arrangements. These materials exhibit unique mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties that make them valuable candidates for diverse applications, including batteries, nonlinear optics, and catalysis [1]. Inverse design has emerged as a promising approach for generating amorphous materials with targeted properties.
A real-world nomogram integrating predictive markers for disease-free survival in postmenopausal triple-negative breast cancer receiving anthracycline/taxane-based chemotherapy
Abstract Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive subtype with poor prognosis, especially in postmenopausal women who are routinely treated with anthracycline/taxane-based chemotherapy. However, wide inter-individual variation in disease-free survival (DFS) underscores an urgent need for reliable predictive markers and practical prognostic tools.

SPOP-mediated K27-linked non-degradative ubiquitination of KCNN3 suppressing HCC progression via the CTCF-SATB1 axis
Abstract The metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells remains a major obstacle to achieving favorable clinical outcomes, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms are still not fully understood. The dysregulation of ion channels is related to epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) phenotype-related pathways, especially the aberrant function of K+ ion channels in HCC.
Retreaded tires are an overlooked source of microplastics with distinct additive leaching and ecotoxicity
Abstract Retreaded tires constitute a substantial segment of the commercial tire market and are an important source of tire wear particles (TWPs), yet the environmental risks of this major microplastic category remain uninvestigated. Here, we show that although the total additive mass is generally lower in TWPs from retreaded tires, these particles exhibit a markedly greater additive leaching potential, particularly for p-phenylenediamines (PPDs).
