Laser-arc hybrid welding process: effect of welding speed on softening behavior of 700L beam steel
The lightweighting of automotive structures demands chassis steel strength upgraded from 500–600 MPa to 700–800 MPa. 700L beam steel has a ferritic–pearlitic matrix with grain-boundary dispersed cementite (Fe₃C), offering 800 MPa tensile strength and a fatigue ratio of 0.75. Conventional arc welding induces severe heat-affected zone (HAZ) softening. This study investigates laser-arc hybrid welding of this steel.
Ocular surface symptoms and tear-film parameters in keratoconus: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Ocular-surface abnormalities are increasingly recognized in keratoconus (KC), but the magnitude and consistency of these changes remain uncertain. We evaluated ocular-surface symptoms, tear-function parameters, and dry-eye-related categorical outcomes in patients with KC compared with non-KC controls. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library were searched from inception through September 1, 2026.
A compact analytical expression for the maximum tunneling magneto-dielectric response in nanogranular films
Abstract The tunneling magneto-dielectric (TMD) effect is a magnetic-field-induced spin-dependent enhancement of the dielectric relaxation rate. This effect provides critical insights into tunneling electronic oscillations in disordered nanogranular systems and offers substantial benefits for fast-response, low-loss energy-conversion materials and magnetic sensing devices.

Brønsted-basic small molecules activate GTP hydrolysis in KRAS-Q61 mutants
Abstract The RAS family of oncogenes (KRAS, HRAS, NRAS) is among the most frequently mutated genes in human cancer. Therapeutic development has largely focused on inhibitors for KRAS codon 12 mutations, while mutant-selective inhibitors for Q61 variants remain elusive. A common mechanistic feature of G12 and Q61 mutants is the reduced efficiency of GTP hydrolysis, which enriches RAS in its active, signaling-competent state.
A lightweight small UAV detection method for optically degraded imaging scenarios
Reliable detection of small UAVs using optical surveillance systems is critical in low-altitude environments. However, under long-range observation, targets typically occupy only a few pixels in the image. Atmospheric turbulence and motion blur further degrade image quality. As a result, images exhibit low resolution, weak texture, and blurred edges, which significantly increase detection difficulty. To address these issues, we propose a lightweight small-object detection model, termed LSD-YOLO.

Peri-transplant TP53 molecular MRD as a prognostic biomarker of relapse in TP53 -mutated AML/MDS undergoing allogeneic HCT
TP53 mutations occur in up to 20% of patients with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and define a distinct high-risk disease subtype [1]. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplant (allo-HCT) remains the only potential curative approach, however, outcomes remain poor because of high relapse rates driven by persistent measurable residual disease (MRD) despite transplantation [2, 3].
Opposing effects of sea salt aerosols constrain cloud droplet responses over the Southern Ocean
Abstract Cloud droplet number concentration (Nd) is modulated by aerosols and subsequently influences low-level cloud radiative effects. Using two decades of satellite and reanalysis data, we quantified Nd responses to aerosol perturbations over the Southern Ocean (south of 60°S). Significant temporal increases over 2003–2022 in sulfate (47.6%), coarse sea salt (CSS, 76.5%), and fine sea salt (FSS, 80.6%) align with shifting environmental drivers.

We present a panoramic annular lens (PAL) system featuring a long focal length, high resolution, large image sensor compatibility, and a compact form factor. By employing optical path folding and a two-stage imaging design, the proposed system effectively addresses the challenges associated with conventional long-focal-length PALs—namely, excessive physical length and inefficient lateral space utilization due to their characteristically large front and narrow rear profiles.
Enhancing the Corrosion Resistance of Cu–Fe Alloy by Trace Yttrium Addition
1 Introduction Copper and its alloys have been widely used in electrical and electronic industries due to their excellent electrical conductivity, ease of fabrication, and outstanding resistance to corrosion [1]. However, the yield strength of pure Cu is generally lower than 100 MPa, which limits its application [2, 3]. Fe addition can effectively improve the strength of Cu alloys [4-6].

3.1. Solvent-Induced Magnetic Regulation in D/A-MOF Solvent-induced structural transformations provide a finely tunable approach for regulating the electronic and magnetic behavior of D/A-MOFs. Because the layered D2A frameworks possess diverse electronic states (N, 1e-I, 1.5e-I, and 2e-I) that are stabilized by a delicate balance between intralayer donor–acceptor CT and three-dimensional Madelung interactions, even subtle variations in the interlayer environment can shift the electronic...

Site-selective valence isomerism as a unified electronic trigger for magnetism, chirality, and catalysis in Ni–carboxylate MOFs
Abstract Valence modulation at metal nodes provides a fundamental route to couple electronic structure with functional properties in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Achieving precise and stimulus-independent control of metal oxidation states within an isostructural lattice remains a central challenge. Here we demonstrate valence isomerism in a Ni–carboxylate framework, Ni3(OH)2(Cam)2(H2O)4, by combining pH adjustment with vortex-driven stirring.

A Multimodal Dynamic Cross-Attention Feature Fusion Network for Mechanical Property Prediction of Hot-Rolled Steels
1 Introduction During industrial manufacturing of steels, they undergo a series of complex and continuous chemical and physical changes. There are interactions and coupled effects among the chemical composition, production process, and microstructure of the steel [1-6]. Mechanical properties of steels are not only influenced by chemical compositions and production processes but also directly determined by their microstructures [7-11].
Expert consensus on orthodontic-associated alveolar ridge augmentation for adult patients
Abstract Alveolar bone defects, including dehiscence and fenestration, are commonly encountered in adult patients seeking orthodontic treatment. These anatomical deficiencies increase the risk of periodontal complications and may significantly compromise orthodontic tooth movement. Alveolar bone defects can also develop during orthodontic treatment, particularly in adult patients with narrow alveolar ridges requiring excessive tooth movement.
Flash joule heating-induced spinel-phase surface in Ni-rich layered oxide positive electrodes to stabilise lattice oxygen
Abstract High-nickel layered positive electrodes suffer from progressive structural degradation arising from lattice oxygen loss and inherent lattice strain. Although surface coatings are widely used to stabilize lattice-oxygen redox and mitigate electro-chemo-mechanical degradation, achieving coatings with full continuity, robust interfacial bonding, and fast Li+ conductivity remains challenging.

Downfield magnetic resonance signals serve as endogenous imaging biomarkers of nucleotide metabolism in glioma - Communications Biology
Abstract Gliomas, the most common primary brain tumors, exhibit profound metabolic alterations that can be non-invasively probed using magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS). Compared to upfield signals in traditional MRS, downfield signals exhibit complex composition with limited understanding of their metabolite origins. Correlating high-throughput metabolic profiles provided by untargeted metabolomics with MRS signals can help elucidate the origins of metabolites in MRS.

Targeted inhibition of FBXL2 confers susceptibility of HER2-negative breast cancer to trastuzumab deruxtecan - Nature Cancer
Abstract Trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd), an anti-HER2–drug conjugate, has transformed treatment for HER2-expressing solid tumors. However, heterogeneous intratumoral HER2 expression, particularly high densities of HER2-immunohistochemistry score 0 (HER2-IHC 0) cells, limits its clinical efficacy.
Slurry diffusion patterns and mechanisms of shield tail synchronous grouting in sandy strata exhibiting compactness gradients
Synchronous grouting during shield tunnelling is a crucial process for ensuring the stability of newly constructed structures and minimising disturbances to the surrounding soil strata. The heterogeneous nature of strata often results in grouting challenges, such as uneven slurry distribution and localised seepage loss. This study focuses on sandy strata with compactness gradients.
SMC for Discrete Singular Semi‐Markov Switching Systems With Bilateral Dwell Time
This work investigates the sliding mode control (SMC) for discrete singular semi-Markov switching systems with bilateral dwell time (DT). Bilateral DT constraints are explicitly incorporated into the stability analysis, thus generalizing the existing results under unilateral constraints. Owing to time-varying singular matrix in the system, a stable state feedback strategy is designed in the controller design.
