Association between apolipoprotein B/A1 ratio with heart failure severity in HFrEF, HFmrEF, and HFpEF
Abstract Apolipoprotein (apo) B and apo A1 are major protein components of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) particles, which are closely linked to lipid metabolism, atherosclerosis, and endothelial function. We investigated whether the circulating apoB/A1 ratio could serve as a potential metabolic risk factor for the severity of chronic heart failure (HF) with multiple etiologies.

A gapless 100 m resolution daily mean land surface temperature dataset over the Tibetan Plateau in 2019
Abstract The Tibetan Plateau (TP), known as the “Third Pole”, is highly sensitive to climate change. Fine-scale daily mean land surface temperature (DMLST) data are needed to study regional climate processes, permafrost dynamics, glacier melt, and land surface energy balance. However, existing DMLST products over the TP generally have spatial resolutions of 1 km to 0.05°, which are too coarse to resolve local processes in glacier forefields, permafrost slopes, and other heterogeneous landscapes.
Case Report: A diagnostic chameleon of EBV-associated immune dysregulation: HLH unmasking multiple myeloma with subsequent emergence of aggressive B-cell lymphoma
Abstract Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a life-threatening hyper-inflammatory syndrome most commonly triggered by infection, autoimmune disease, or malignancy. Multiple myeloma (MM)-associated HLH is rare. We report a 70-year-old female who presented with HLH as the initial manifestation of MM. Following MM-directed therapy, both MM and HLH achieved remission; however, HLH relapsed with persistent Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) viremia despite continued MM control.
Case Report: Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis masquerading as drug-induced liver injury: successful treatment with low-dose ruxolitinib and glucocorticoids
Abstract Background: Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a life-threatening hyperinflammatory syndrome that can present with drug-induced liver injury (DILI), often mimicking acute liver failure and delaying diagnosis. Therapeutic options are limited in patients with severe hepatic dysfunction.
FGF1 orchestrates circadian hepatic triglyceride secretion
Abstract Metabolic dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD) represents a global health crisis associated with dysregulated hepatic triglyceride (TG) synthesis, oxidation and secretion. Despite progress in targeting hepatic lipid synthesis/oxidation for MASLD treatment and a well-documented relationship between circadian rhythms and lipid metabolism, the adaptive mechanisms coordinating TG secretion with circadian timing remain incompletely understood.
Clinical outcomes and learning curve of MRgLITT system for drug‐resistant epilepsy in China: A single‐center retrospective study
MRgLITT achieved seizure freedom in 66.7% of patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. Over 94% of patients showed >50% clinical improvement after surgery. Single, well-localized lesions and ≥90% ablation rate predicted better seizure outcomes. Learning curve reached a turning point at the 19th case; operative time and hospitalization decreased with increasing experience. No serious complications occurred; minor side effects fully resolved within 1 month.

Flow cytometric analysis of the immune cell subsets in adult hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis
Introduction Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a rare but life-threatening hyperinflammatory condition caused by the dysfunction of cytotoxic T cells (CTLs) and natural killer (NK) cells. This syndrome is characterized by a pronounced immune activation of macrophages and T cells (1). The hallmark clinical features include prolonged fever, hepatosplenomegaly, and pancytopenia.
Unveiling the cell-type-specific landscape of cellular senescence through single-cell transcriptomics using SenePy - Nature Communications
Abstract Senescent cells accumulate in most tissues with organismal aging, exposure to stressors, or disease progression. It is challenging to identify senescent cells because cellular senescence signatures and phenotypes vary widely across distinct cell types and tissues. Here we developed an analytical algorithm that defines cell-type-specific and universal signatures of cellular senescence across a wide range of cell types and tissues.

SenePy: Unveiling the Cell-Type Specific Landscape of Cellular Senescence through Single-Cell Analysis in Living Organisms
Abstract Senescent cells accumulate in tissues with organismal age and contribute causally to multiple chronic diseases. In vivo senescent cell phenotypes are heterogeneous because cellular context and stressors vary by cell type and tissue. Due to the variability of senescence programs, there is no universal method to identify senescent cells and even widely used markers, such as CDKN2A, are not ubiquitous.

WEVOTE: Weighted Voting Taxonomic Identification Method of Microbial Sequences
Metagenome shotgun sequencing presents opportunities to identify organisms that may prevent or promote disease. The analysis of sample diversity is achieved by taxonomic identification of metagenomic reads followed by generating an abundance profile. Numerous tools have been developed based on different design principles. Tools achieving high precision can lack sensitivity in some applications. Conversely, tools with high sensitivity can suffer from low precision and require long computation time.
