Epigenetic regulation of NLRP3 by ACLY–PLAC8 axis sustains metabolic adaptation in triple-negative breast cancer
Abstract Cell metabolism is intricately interconnected with various pathological processes, including metabolic disorders, chronic inflammation, and tumor progression. Dysregulated lipid metabolism can result in mitochondrial dysfunction and excessive reactive oxygen species accumulation, which are well-established triggers for inflammasome activation. However, their functional relevance in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) remains largely unexplored.

The hidden role of glomalin-related soil protein in mediating soil organic carbon dynamics in response to urbanization
Abstract Urbanization can alter soil organic carbon (SOC) storage, while glomalin-related soil protein (GRSP) is crucial for SOC sequestration. However, whether and how GRSP mediates the response of SOC to urbanization remains unclear. We investigated 184 soil samples by analyzing GRSP and its C-functional structures along an urban expansion gradient using redundancy analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) in Nanchang, China.
Achieving Far-Red Emission with Ultrahigh Quantum Efficiency in Mn 4+ -Activated Sr 4 AlNbO 8 Phosphors Derived from Ge-Induced Valence State Modulation and Crystal Field Engineering Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Mn4+-activated far-red emitting phosphors have emerged as a crucial substitute for traditional rare-earth-based luminescent materials. However, the design of Mn4+-type far-red phosphors with high quantum efficiency remains a pivotal challenge because manganese as a typical transition metal element is prone to valence changes, and simultaneously, the 3d–3d characteristic transition of the Mn4+ ion is parity-forbidden.

Advanced physiological maturation of human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes using an algorithm-directed optimization of defined media components
|
Abstract Human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs) hold tremendous promise for in vitro modeling to assess native myocardial function and disease mechanisms, as well as testing drug safety and efficacy. However, current hiPSC-CMs are functionally immature, resembling in vivo CMs of fetal or neonatal developmental states. The use of targeted culture media and organoid formats have been identified as potential high-yield contributors to improve CM maturation.
