Prediction of pathological complete response to neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy in locally advanced lung adenocarcinoma: a multimodal machine learning approach
Abstract Predicting pathological complete response (pCR) following neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy in locally advanced lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remains clinically challenging. We aimed to develop an explainable machine learning framework to predict pCR and stratify patient prognosis. This retrospective study included 627 driver-negative LUAD patients (2020–2025). Fifteen baseline clinicopathological, metabolic, and inflammatory features were integrated to evaluate four algorithms.
Research on adaptive inspection strategies and planning for unmanned aerial vehicles based on an improved ant colony optimisation algorithm
Abstract To achieve complementary advantages among different optical modal information and support power equipment fault detection and localization tasks, this paper uses visible-light images to enhance the texture information of infrared images.
Direct in-situ observation of hydrogen-enhanced diffusive deformation at the crack tip in pure aluminium
Abstract Reliable service of lightweight high-strength alloys in energy efficient structures is challenged by hydrogen embrittlement. Extensive research efforts have been devoted to uncovering the mechanism underlying the phenomenon for decades, primarily focusing on the interaction between hydrogen and dislocations. Nonetheless, the explicit role of hydrogen in the direct vicinity of a propagating crack tip, wherein the deformation carriers nucleate, remains obscure.
Adaptive super-resolution UAV inspection and image perception strategy planning for distribution networks
Abstract Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) inspection provides a flexible means of monitoring geographically dispersed equipment in distribution networks; however, the limited resolution, motion-induced blur, transmission constraints, and high cost of precision infrared sensors can degrade image perception and weaken subsequent inspection decisions. To address these problems, this paper proposes an adaptive super-resolution UAV inspection and image perception strategy for distribution networks.

Prevalence of depression and gender differences in associated factors among empty-nest older adults in rural China
Abstract With the progression of aging and population mobility in China, empty-nest older adults constitute a significant proportion of the elderly population. Compared with other groups, empty-nest older adults are more prone to depression. This study aims to investigate the prevalence of depression and its associated factors among rural empty-nest older adults in China, with a particular focus on gender differences.
Transforming static interfaces into tactile channels with steerable transdermal foci
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Grasping objects such as handles, mice, and phones plays a central role in human-machine interaction, yet the contact surfaces of the hand, despite their exquisite tactile sensitivity, are rarely exploited as channels for information transfer.

Bioresorbable electrochemical sensors for continuous deep-tissue lactate monitoring in critical care
|
Abstract Lactate is a key metabolite and prognostic biomarker, reflecting oxygen delivery, cellular demand, and mitochondrial function. Current clinical lactate monitoring, however, relies on intermittent blood sampling, limiting localized interrogation, dynamic tracking and early intervention in critical care. Here, we report a bioresorbable and flexible electrochemical sensor for continuous deep-tissue lactate monitoring.

Existence of Positive Solutions to Quantum Plasma Equations for Dust Acoustic Solitary Waves with Non-local Boundary Condition
You are already at the latest version In the context of high-density or ultra-low-temperature plasma environments, the mathematical characterization of equations for quantum plasmas is of fundamental necessity, as classical fluid models fail to capture the dominant quantum effects such as particle overlapping, wave packet interference and Pauli exclusion principle, which are critical for accurately describing the collective nonlinear behaviors of dust acoustic solitary waves in such extreme...

Assessing spatial and temporal transferability of cycleway impact models for bike-share usage in London
Abstract Assessing spatial and temporal transferability in models of cycleway impacts can inform evidence-based transport policies and wider implementation of cycling infrastructure. Yet, limited research on model transferability constrains their practical application in infrastructure planning. This study examines spatial and temporal transferability of models estimating the effects of cycleway implementation on bike-share usage.
Integrated machine learning and multi-omics analysis identifies ALOX5 as a potential therapeutic target for tubulointerstitial inflammation in diabetic kidney disease
Abstract Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is a leading cause of renal failure. Inflammation of the renal tubules and interstitium is a critical factor in the progression of DKD; however, the key regulatory genes and characteristics of the immune microenvironment remain poorly understood. This study aims to identify key inflammatory biomarkers in the renal tubule tissues of DKD patients and to elucidate their potential immunoregulatory mechanisms.
