ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Cascade Process Controls is getting kids ready for the first day of school with a backpack giveaway. The company set up at Academy Sports and Outdoors on Saturday starting at 8 A.M. to get ready to hand out 500 backpacks and gift cards. Employees with the company say they were looking for a way to give back to the community.

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Whiskers and Tails is working to collect donations for pets that have been impacted by the flooding in Kerrville. Whiskers and Tails is partnering up with multiple organizations to help. Volunteers say Kerrville is overwhelmed with displaced cats and dogs so they’re stepping up to help.

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - The West Texas Food Bank is accepting donations starting on Monday to help people recover from the deadly flooding that happened near Kerrville. According to a post by the organization, the plan is to collect items throughout the week and deliver them by the end.
