COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Thursday morning lows will be near 70 degrees, and a few showers or sprinkles are possible early before better chances for pop-up showers and storms arrive by the afternoon. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 80s. After afternoon storms, we’ll turn mostly dry overnight before another round of showers and storms arrives Friday.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Rain and storms continue to push through the Chattahoochee Valley into the overnight hours. Embedded storms will provide plenty of lightning and thunder, and heavy rain will become more of a threat as we take you through the overnight hours. TIMING: Now through 7-9 AM ET Thursday. Storms will continue to push through overnight, but we will see the main ‘line’ of heavier storms shifting to our far southern counties by early Thursday morning.

Cold front overnight brings storms, cooler temperatures

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - We are continuing to track the potential for severe weather in the early morning hours on Thursday. The most severe risk being the pockets of strong gusty winds. The risk for large hail, flooding, and tornadoes is low. The areas impacted the most by this system will be our East Alabama counties. That being said, the whole Chattahoochee Valley will see rain and storms. For the West Georgia counties, pockets of strong winds, and heavy rain is still likely.
