Pamela Anderson’s Signature Vegan Cinnamon Rolls
Soft and sweet cinnamon rolls are what Sunday mornings were made for.
Taylor Swift and Pamela Anderson Keep the Sourdough Trend Alive
Taylor Swift and Pamela Anderson have more in common than fame, flawless hair, and pop culture permanence. They also both bake a mean sourdough. Last week, Swift gifted a homemade loaf to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, complete with a candle, custom note, and pun that read “It’s a loaf story.” Swift’s note accompanied a carefully arranged basket that Blanco posted to Instagram on July 22.
Pamela Anderson Revives Family Tradition With New Pickle Line
Pamela Anderson is embracing a new venture that brings her back to her family roots: pickling. During a recent interview on This Morning, the actress shared that she is launching her own line of pickles, playfully named Pamela’s Pickles. This latest endeavor aligns with her recent plant-based cookbook, I Love You: Recipes From the Heart. In her conversation with host Alison Hammond, Anderson revealed the deep connection her family has to pickling.

Chickpea Soup
Definitely deserves a place in the regular rotation: easy, quick, delicious, and unusual. With its velvety texture, it tastes rich but is not. I used canned chickpeas but had only two cans, so for the third can I used cannellini beans. I increased the garlic and thyme a bit based on advice from other reviewers and added cayenne, just because I love the bite it lends to a creamy soup.

Barr Review
GO HERE: for an amazing food and beer experience—or if you prefer, beer and food experience—on the water. The Noma group has converted the old Noma space into a restaurant and bar serving dishes inspired by the “beer belt,” meaning the North Sea region, to go along with a super-geeky indie beer list. ORDER THE: pork schnitzel; hot-smoked mackerel; frikadeller (Danish meatballs); ribs for two; bone marrow; and pretty perfect waffles during weekend lunch.
Relæ Review
GO HERE: because OG Noma chef Christian F. Puglisi was one of the first to strike out on his own—and he’s been the most successful by far. (He’s behind favorites Manfreds , Bæst , and Mirabelle .) His tasting-menu restaurant has set the bar for countless ambitious young chefs around the world—and not just with its leather aprons and silverware drawers but due to Puglisi’s approach to in-the-moment seasonal local cuisine that’s both careful and extreme.
Mirabelle Review
GO HERE: for excellent, highly photogenic croissants and sourdough loaves, sold out of a window up front at chef Christian F. Puglisi ’s all-day restaurant and bakery. ORDER THE: sourdough croissant; ham and cheese croissant; the best house-made yogurt we’ve ever had with granola; pasta of the day; and any of the freshly made cheeses.
Sanchez Review
GO HERE: for Mexican food that you could never have imagined. Chicago-born Rosio Sánchez ruled the Noma pastry department for years before opening her popular taco stands, Hija de Sanchez . With her first sit-down restaurant, she marries serious Mexican sourcing and tradition with modern technique and a hit of Scandinavian tartness. Turns out gooseberries are great in avocado dip! ORDER THE: tasting menu if you’re feeling flush.
La Banchina Review
GO HERE: for an out-of-the-way magical mini-vacation. This harborside shed, a healthy bike ride out of town (though not too far from Noma 2.0), has two personalities: a stay-all-day spot with a sauna, available year-round, and in warmer months, a swimming spot with natural wines. TAKE IN THE: view! In winter, it’s a café with breakfast, lunch, and a handful of tables for the evening tasting menu, a Nordic affair using Italian ingredients.
Slurp Ramen Joint Review
GO HERE: for an exceptional bowl of ramen. Listing everything that goes into former Noma chef Philipp Inreiter’s shio ramen would take up the entire internet, so trust. (Okay, a few teasers: There’s porcini, “loads of seafood,” and chicken.) But this place is so chill, with its hipster dog logo and basic counter seating, you’ll never get hit over the head with the message.
Café Atelier September Review
GO HERE: to feel like you’re living your best breakfast life. This Gothersgade Street café started out as a furniture and antiques store, and it shows (that’s their gorgeous butik next door). Turns out the owners have an eye for great chefs too. ORDER THE: perfectly shingled avocado on whole grain toast; matcha granola with zucchini jam; seasonal smørrebrød; and matcha latte. Chef Frederik Bille Brahe’s menu keeps it healthy, with a camera-ready twist.
Copenhagen - Things to Do, Restaurants & Shopping
Copenhagen has become one of the world’s great dining destinations in the last decade, thanks to some guy named René. (That would be Redzepi.) The city that Noma built is now a culinary mecca not only for gastronauts but also for young cooks from around the world who come here to work at forward-thinking restaurants before going off to open their own casual concepts around town.

Kitchen Savant
In 2007, a little-known chef cooked a legendary meal—and then disappeared. Alan Richman checks in on Michael Carlson and his reopened restaurant, SchwaThe infamous gathering of great chefs at the Chicago restaurant Schwa in October of 2007 included one man whose name you might not know: Michael Carlson. It’s likely the ruinous events that followed would not have occurred had he merely eaten with them. Instead, as chef-owner of Schwa, he was obliged to cook for them.

Lemon-Ricotta Pancakes
These are the best home-made pancakes I have ever made! They're so moist, and with the hint of lemon, it just makes the pancakes even more delicious. I have to say though, it did take me a while to make the batter, but it was well worth the time. It also takes a lot of bowls to make the batter, so be prepared. I also could not find chestnut flour, I looked at Whole Foods and at another high-end grocery store but had zero luck. I just ended up substituting regular flour.

Tandoori Turkey recipe | Epicurious.com
I was encouraged by the reviews, so I made this turkey this Thanksgiving. I use masala frequently in cooking, so I was familiar with making them, and I'm sure I'll use them up. Roasting the turkey in a bag made me nervous, too, but it turned out fine and as other reviews noted, very moist. My main disappointment was that for the amount of work and spices and yogurt, etc., it tasted fine. But it wasn't like the meat was really infused with spice flavors or anything like that.
Recipe: Nadine Levy Redzepi’s Sugar-Cured Egg Yolk in a Meringue Cloud
Separate 2 of the eggs, collecting the whites in a medium bowl and setting the yolks aside in another bowl. Cover the yolks and refrigerate. (Be sure not to get even a drop of yolk in the whites or they won’t beat properly. Use the edge of a broken shell to scoop out any stray yolk.) Add about 1 inch hot water to a large bowl. Place the bowl of egg whites in the water and stir just until the whites lose their chill (use your finger to check), about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Du Pain et des Idées Review
GO HERE: for pastries and bread like you’ve never tasted before. In addition to perfect croissants and apple turnovers, the postcard-pretty bakery is known for its pain des amis, a rectangular wood-fired loaf made with farmer-ground heritage grains, which are selected to help it stay fresh for several days. (You also can taste it at some of the restaurants in this guide.) Take some home and freeze whatever you don’t toast.
Septime Review | Bon Appetit
GO HERE: for graphic-designer-turned-chef Bertrand Grébaut’s confidently creative food in a room that gets everything right. Grébaut, who cooked at the three-Michelin-starred L’Astrance and L’Arpège, is always finding new ways to provoke flavor from familiar ingredients, with a love of contrasts—raw and charred, puréed and crisp—and compositions that are as inspiring to look at as they are to taste. ORDER THE: the six-course menu over the three-course prix fixe, whether it’s lunch or dinner.
Spicy Pork and Mustard Green Soup
I really thought I'd love this soup. I couldn't finish eating it. I made it exactly as written. After tasting it I thought it could use a little "brightness" so I added a splash of rice wine. At first, I liked the flavors but after a few bites, it tasted like there was sand in the pork. The crushed peppercorns and chopped cumin seeds ended up like grit in our teeth- the way it feels when you're eating something at the beach.

Wake Up Your Bedroom
1. Take Things Down a Notch Your bed is not "where the magic happens"—that phrase died with MTV Cribs—but it is the visual centerpiece of the bedroom. As noted interior decorator Lil Jon once said: Get low. Start with a knee-high platform frame, treat yourself to a good mattress (we're partial to Shifman Mattress Company), and toss the box spring out on the street. What you'll end up with is the opposite of the fusty four-post Victorian sleeping throne of your parents' bedroom—and that's the idea.
