EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - With increasingly cold temperatures moving into the area, pet owners in Georgia are asked to do whatever they can to keep their pets safe. “Leave your pets home... okay?” said Lorna Shelton, Director, Effingham County Pet Shelter. Tuesday’s potentially freezing temperatures has pet owners gearing their animals up for the cold. The WTOC weather team said the wind chill will make the outside air feel like it’s in the teens Tuesday night.
