BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: First Alert Weather Day continues due to the ongoing threat of flash flooding across Central Alabama. This is a dangerous situation with some roads already covered with water. A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for Jefferson County and Shelby Counties until 5:15PM, with rainfall rates averaging an incredible 2 to 5 inches per hour in some locations. A Flood Watch remains in effect through 7 PM this evening.
