A Multi-Source Pixel-Level Annotated Dataset for Hemorrhage Recognition in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
Abstract Intraoperative hemorrhage is a critical safety challenge in laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and other minimally invasive surgeries, yet it remains underexplored in surgical artificial intelligence (AI) research due to limited high-quality annotated data. We introduce LC-HemSeg, a multi-source, multi-scene dataset comprising 30 annotated LC cases with 21,396 manually verified frames and pixel-wise hemorrhage annotations.

Ligand-mediated radical orientation enables asymmetric cyanation of unstabilized alkyl C-radicals
Abstract Transition metal-catalysed enantioselective radical transformations have emerged as powerful tools for the synthesis of chiral molecules, and a range of methods have been developed. However, most of these successful reactions are effective for resonance-stabilized radicals; in sharp contrast, achieving precise stereocontrol over highly reactive, unstabilized alkyl radicals remains a major challenge, with very few successful examples.
Nighttime Organic Nitrates Drive New Particle Formation and Aerosol Growth in Urban Beijing Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Field Observations Measurements were made at a rooftop lab 8 m above street level of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in Beijing, in June 2017. The temporal variations of the concentrations of key species are presented in Figure 1 . Concentrations of NO, NO 2 , and total nitrogen oxides (NO y ) were measured. A useful quantity for our analysis is NO z (≡NO y – NO x ), representing the sum of gas- and particle-phase NO x oxidation products.

Deciphering the crack and pore self-healing effects of sustainable eco-friendly bio-mortar under coastal zone multi-interfaces
Abstract Coastal concrete structures support coastal element cycling and ecosystem services, but cracks from corrosion, loading, and wet-dry cycles threaten safety and disrupt nearshore biogeochemical cycles. Microbially Induced Calcium Carbonate Precipitation (MICP) represents a promising low-carbon strategy for autonomous crack healing; yet, its efficacy and mechanisms within these complex coastal environments remain elusive.
Intensive blood pressure control in type 2 diabetes: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Abstract Background: Although guidelines recommend lower blood pressure targets for patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D), evidence from randomized controlled trials (RCTs) remains inconsistent regarding the balance between reducing major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and the risk of adverse events. Methods: This meta-analysis included RCTs comparing intensive versus conventional blood pressure control in patients with T2D.
TM-Loop: Transformer multi-omics hierarchical detection of chromatin loop
Abstract Chromatin loops form the hierarchical 3D genome architecture and act as critical regulatory hubs, bringing distant cis-elements together to precisely control target gene transcription. Disruption of these spatial interactions is closely linked to human diseases including cancer. Hi-C provides genome-wide interaction maps, yet robust identification of chromatin loops remains a major bottleneck in 3D genomics, especially for contact matrices with low signal-to-noise ratio and high sparsity.
Temporal trends of clinicopathological features, therapeutic modalities, and survival outcomes in pseudo-age-related colorectal cancer
Abstract Contemporary colorectal cancer (CRC) epidemiology reveals evolving risk factors have reconfigured CRC as a societally-modulated, quasi-age-dependent disease. Nevertheless, temporal drivers of incidence/incidence-based mortality (IBM) patterns and longitudinal trends in clinicopathological profiles, therapeutic modalities, and 5-year survival (5-YS) remain incompletely defined, necessitating methodologically rigorous studies.
Rational synthesis of a new Haldane chain compound by predicted pressure-induced phase modification
Abstract The realization and discovery of novel topological quantum states is a fascinating intersection field of solid-state chemistry, materials science, and condensed matter physics. As a typical model of symmetry-protected topological states, the Haldane phase oxides are still rare to date. Here, we report the precise synthesis of a new predicted Haldane chain compound, the high-pressure (HP) BaNi2V2O8 polymorph, by pressure-induced phase modification.
Field re-entrant superconductivity in Eu-doped infinite-layer nickelates
Abstract Intertwined superconducting and magnetic orders may give rise to exotic quantum phases1–7, including field-induced and re-entrant superconductivity8–10. However, such magnetism-enhanced superconductivity has remained elusive in superconductors with higher transition temperatures1–3. While infinite-layer nickelates represent a new class of unconventional superconductors11–20, the impact of rare-earth magnetism on superconducting properties remains largely unexplored.
Environmental Concentrations of PFOS Selectively Accumulate in the Euglena Eyespot and Directly Inhibit Chloroplast ATP Synthase: A Dual Impairment of Phototaxis and Photosynthetic Light Reactions Without Inhibiting Photosynthesis
You are already at the latest version Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) is a persistent organic pollutant widely detected in aquatic ecosystems, but its subcellular targets and the mechanisms by which it disrupts light resource utilization in photosynthetic protozoa remain poorly understood at environmentally relevant concentrations. Here, Euglena gracilis was exposed to environmentally relevant PFOS concentrations.

Urban black-carbon radiative heating intensified by biogenic–anthropogenic interactions - Nature Geoscience
Abstract Black carbon is a global climate forcer due to its strong radiative absorption, which is highly sensitive to coating formation regulated by anthropogenic and biogenic emissions. However, how cross-regional biogenic sources modulate urban black carbon coating and radiative effects remains poorly understood. Here we integrate observations and model simulations to investigate such biogenic–anthropogenic interactions in eastern China.
Population‐based cohort validation and replication reveals limited generalizability of cluster‐based MASLD subtypes
1 INTRODUCTION Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MASLD), formerly known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), has shown a substantial increase in prevalence over the past decades and currently affects approximately 38% of the global population.1, 2 MASLD encompasses a spectrum from steatosis to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), and is associated not only with an increased risk of progression to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma,3 but also...
