SELMA, Ala. (WSFA) - Classes in Selma City Schools are set to begin August 11, and Superintendent Dr. David Scott says students, parents, and teachers have plenty to look forward to as a new school year gets underway. “Just excited to start the school year and to meet and build relationships with the students, the parents, and the community of Selma,” Scott said. Among the biggest changes this year is a new state mandate that prohibits cell phone use during school hours.
