Fetal Presentation of Walker–Warburg Syndrome With a Novel POMT1 Splice-Altering Variant: Antenatal Imaging, Postmortem MRI, Autopsy, and Molecular Correlation
1 Introduction Walker–Warburg syndrome (WWS) (OMIM*613155) is the most severe phenotype within the dystroglycanopathy spectrum and is closely related to muscle–eye–brain disease (MEB). It is characterized by brain and eye malformations and is believed to result from mutations in glycosylation enzymes [1]. WWS is inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern, with POMT1 mutations accounting for a significant proportion of cases [2, 3].
Case Report: Primary hepatic carcinosarcoma with ectopic β-hCG secretion and a paraneoplastic leukemoid reaction mimicking gynecologic and hematologic disease
Abstract Primary hepatic carcinosarcoma is an exceptionally rare and highly aggressive malignancy, and ectopic β-hCG production and paraneoplastic leukemoid reaction are both uncommon findings in solid tumors. We report the case of a 47-year-old woman who initially presented with abnormal vaginal bleeding and elevated serum β-hCG, raising concern for a pregnancy-related disorder. Diagnostic curettage showed no evidence of pregnancy or trophoblastic disease, yet the β-hCG level continued to rise.

A Fasciculoventricular Accessory Pathway Featuring Functional Decremental Conduction and QRS Variability
Average (ratings) Abstract Fasciculoventricular accessory pathways (FVAPs), once considered rare variants of pre-excitation syndrome, are now recognised as ubiquitous in both humans and murine. Nonetheless, most FVAPs are likely electrically silent. However, they can become evident, as reported for some glycogen storage diseases (such as Danon disease and PRKAG2) and during high-voltage septal pacing. Typically, FVAPs only exhibit antegrade and non-decremental conducting properties.

Unlocking the potential of allogeneic Vδ2 T cells for ovarian cancer therapy through CD16 biomarker selection and CAR/IL-15 engineering - Nature Communications
Abstract Allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 (Vδ2) T cells have emerged as attractive candidates for developing cancer therapy due to their established safety in allogeneic contexts and inherent tumor-fighting capabilities. Nonetheless, the limited clinical success of Vδ2 T cell-based treatments may be attributed to donor variability, short-lived persistence, and tumor immune evasion. To address these constraints, we engineer Vδ2 T cells with enhanced attributes.
