FIRST ALERT DAY: Heavy rainfall and scattered strong storms possible this evening

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Wednesday afternoon and evening have been upgraded to a First Alert Day due to the concern for localized flooding. There is also a chance for a few strong to severe storms later this evening. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch will be in effect until 10 pm Wednesday. Severe storm watch until 10pm Wed. A Flood Watch will be in effect until midnight Thursday morning.

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Following what has been a very active week, we are settling into a quieter stretch of weather for the holiday weekend. The majority of the Fourth of July on Saturday will be dry with mostly to partly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the low 80s. Some humidity is still expected with dew points in the 60s. 4th of July forecast There is a chance for stray showers and storms late Saturday afternoon and evening, between 4 pm and 10 pm.

First Alert: Dangerous heat Monday & Tuesday

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – First Alert Days have been issued for Monday and Tuesday. Afternoon highs this week will be in the upper 80s to low 90s, with heat index values of 95 to 110 possible between Monday and Friday. Temperature and heat index An Extreme Heat Warning will be in effect for all of SE Minn. and NE Iowa from 8 am Monday until 9 pm Tuesday. Extreme heat warning in effect from 8am Monday until 9pm Tuesday Dew points will feel very tropical in the upper 60s and 70s throughout the week.
