Man’s body found hidden in hotel room had been there for months, police say
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA/Gray News) — Three people were arrested after investigators said a man’s body was hidden in a South Dakota hotel room for several months. Rapid City police responded Tuesday afternoon to the Roadway Inn after receiving a report of a dead body in a room. Officers found the body of an adult man, and investigators soon determined the death was suspicious. An autopsy identified the man as Jason Horned Eagle, 33, of Rapid City.
Husband, wife of 35 years killed when tree falls on car during storms
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV/Gray News) - A married couple in Florida was killed nearly a week ago when a tree fell on their car during a storm. The Tallahassee Police Department identified the victims as Patti Haller, 63, and Steve Haller, 65. Police said a large tree fell directly on the front seat area of their vehicle.
Father charged with murder after his 2-year-old son died in house fire, authorities say
ABILENE, Kan. (WIBW/Gray News) - A father in Kansas was charged with murder after his 2-year-old son died in a house fire, according to authorities. The arrested man was identified as 33-year-old James Bradley Crump. Officials said the fire was reported around 5:48 p.m. on Jan. 26. When deputies arrived, they found Crump and another child outside the home.
