HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - One person is in critical condition following a shooting incident on Slaughter Rd. According to Don Webster with HEMSI, a call came in at around 9:00 a.m. One man was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A Sgt. on scene told WAFF 48 News the injured man was shot in the stomach, and they’re working to find out the nature of the incident. No further details are available at this time. We will update this story when more information is released.

One injured following crash on I-565

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - One woman has been taken to the hospital following a wreck on I-565. According to Don Webster with HEMSI, a call came in at around 6:15 a.m. near Greenbrier Parkway. At this time, it is unclear how many vehicles were involved, but the woman was taken for non-life-threatening injuries. The wreck has caused a major slowdown in that area; drivers are asked to avoid the area as officials work to clear it up. WAFF 48 News will update this story as more details are released.
