Patient-derived organoids enable ex vivo drug-response profiling for precision medicine in bladder cancer
Abstract Patient-derived organoids (PDOs) represent a promising precision medicine approach for replicating primary tumor characteristics and facilitating drug testing across various cancers, although clinical evidence in bladder cancer remains limited. This study evaluates the impact of incorporating PDOs into clinical practice on treatment efficacy in bladder cancer patients.

14-Day Vonoprazan–Minocycline Dual Therapy Versus Bismuth-Containing Quadruple Therapy for Helicobacter pylori Rescue Treatment: A Single-Center Randomized Controlled Noninferiority Trial
1 Introduction Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a Gram-negative pathogenic bacterium that primarily colonizes the gastric and duodenal mucosa and is closely associated with the development and progression of chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, and gastric cancer [1, 2]. Epidemiological data from China indicate a substantial burden of H. pylori infection. In a study involving 10,735 households, the household-level prevalence of H.
Excessive weight loss during alternate day modified fasting increases the risk of hyperuricemia and muscle loss
Abstract Background: Obesity has become a significant contributor to non-communicable diseases worldwide, making it imperative to explore effective weight-loss methods. Alternate day modified fasting (ADMF) has emerged as a popular approach, but its effects on uric acid (UA) dynamics and body composition in Chinese populations remain unclear.
Linking the triglyceride-glucose index to major adverse cardiocerebrovascular events in individuals with cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome: insights from an aggregate-data systematic review and dose–response meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Epidemiological research has indicated a potential association between the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and the risk of major adverse cardiocerebrovascular events (MACCE). Nevertheless, the precise nature and magnitude of this relationship remain to be fully elucidated. Objectives: This study aims to assess the dose–response relationship between the TyG index and MACCE among individuals with cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome.
Molecular mechanism of pore formation by Plasmodium Perforin-like Protein 2
Abstract Malaria-causing Plasmodium parasites must pass through several host cell types to complete their life cycle. This cell traversal is facilitated by perforin-like proteins (PLPs), among which PLP2 is essential for erythrocyte rupture by gametocytes. However, the mechanism by which PLP2 forms pores is not yet understood. Here, we combine cryo-electron microscopy and tomography to reveal the structural basis of Plasmodium vivax PLP2-mediated membrane attack.

Bioinspired nano-architecture for cellulose fibers with spider silk–like toughness
Abstract Cellulose fibers derived from renewable biomass exhibit exceptional tensile strength through molecular alignment and dense packing, yet their toughness remains limited, typically below 50 MJ m−3. Drawing inspiration from the helical nanoarchitecture of cherry bark, we introduce a bioinspired nano-orientation strategy to fabricate regenerated cellulose fibers with a biaxially oriented structure via a scalable microfluidic spinning technique.
Contact-induced continuous electricity generation by ion-electron positive feedback coupled transport for self-powered ionic touch panel
Abstract Ionic touch panels are regarded as a key platform for future human-computer interaction and meta-universe due to their stretchable, transparent and skin-fitting properties. Inspired by the fact that human skin relies on ionic current to sense contact position information, we have investigated an ionogel based closed-loop electrical system that also converts contact into ionic current to form a self-powered single-layer ionic touch panel.
Long-term spatiotemporal evolution of drug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis in China

Effects of Sacubitril Valsartan Combined With Vericiguat on NT-proBNP and CK-MB Levels in Patients With Chronic Heart Failure
1 Introduction Chronic heart failure (CHF) has reached epidemic proportions globally, with its prevalence doubling over the past decade due to improved survival from acute cardiac events and population aging (Zhang et al. 2024). This syndrome represents the common end-stage pathway of virtually all cardiovascular diseases, characterized by progressive ventricular dysfunction and debilitating symptoms that severely impair quality of life (Yu et al. 2025).

Dry electrode architecture design to push energy density limits at the cell level - Nature Energy
Abstract High-energy lithium batteries require electrode architectures that enable high areal capacity, high active material content, and stable high-voltage operation—requirements that conventional slurry-based electrodes struggle to meet due to inefficient electron percolation, parasitic reactions, and limited processing-architecture predictability.
CASTOR1 and CASTOR2 respond to different arginine levels to regulate mTORC1 activity
Keywords amino acid sensor arginine CASTOR1 CASTOR2 GATOR1 GATOR2 mTORC1 signaling myogenesis Introduction The modulation of metabolic flux and the evolution of survival responses are key strategies that enable cells to adapt to fluctuations in both internal and external environments, particularly regarding nutrient availability. Alterations in static and dynamic topological properties of brain functional network after chronic high altitude exposure: a panel study
Abstract Background: Long-term exposure to a high-altitude (HA) hypoxic environment induces cognitive impairments, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Notably, the specific topological features of brain networks in this context have not been thoroughly explored. This study investigated graph-based topological characteristics of brain networks from static and dynamic perspectives, and examined how these alterations contribute to the chronic HA-induced cognitive changes.

Multimodal imaging techniques in Yttrium-90 radioembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma: a modality-oriented clinical review
1 Introduction Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most common malignancy and the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide (1). Due to its insidious clinical presentation, a substantial proportion of patients are diagnosed at intermediate or advanced stages, and less than 30% are candidates for curative treatments at initial diagnosis (2, 3). Consequently, locoregional therapies play a pivotal role in the multidisciplinary management of HCC (4).
