QUITMAN, Texas (KLTV) - A Grand Saline man was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to shooting at law enforcement officers during a high-speed chase, according to the Wood County District’s Attorney Office. Connor Lane Scott, 20, of Grand Saline, pleaded guilty Wednesday, July 1, to aggravated assault against a public servant. Scott was also ordered to pay $2,500 in fines and court costs.

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - An armed man was shot by a sheriff’s deputy after the man pointed a gun at the deputy, according to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office said the deputy responded to the Malakoff Cemetery on County Road 1400 around 12:18 p.m. Sunday following a report of a suicidal man at the location. According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy saw the man was armed with a pistol and told him multiple times to drop the gun but the man refused to comply.
