Coupled iron-modified biochar and myriophyllum for nutrient and oxytetracycline removal from aquaculture wastewater
ABSTRACT Aquaculture wastewater commonly contains excess nutrients and residual antibiotics, whereas conventional plant-only ecological ponds may provide insufficient removal of these coexisting contaminants. To enhance system performance through substrate engineering, iron-modified oyster shell biochar (IOBC) was developed as a functional medium and coupled with Myriophyllum in an ecological purification system.
Benchmarking AI-generated thin-slice CT under clinical reconstruction conditions: a multicohort study
Abstract Thin-slice CT provides finer anatomical depiction, but in some clinical settings, only thick-slice CT images are available, resulting in reduced visible anatomical detail. Simply resampling to a smaller through-plane spacing cannot alleviate partial-volume-related image degradation, motivating deep learning-based CT slice synthesis (CSS) as an auxiliary strategy.
Youthfulness of marrow Adipoq + cells maintained by Cbfβ facilitates stem cell-based bone repair
Abstract Exhaustion of skeletal stem and progenitor cells (SSPCs) drives age-related delays in fracture repair, yet the upstream regulators of SSPC maintenance are unclear. We identify that core-binding factor β (Cbfβ) in bone marrow Adipoq+ cells (BMACs) is essential for maintaining SSPC number and function. Cbfβ deletion in BMACs (CKO) leads to SSPC depletion, including periosteal populations, and impairs bicortical fracture healing in mice.

Asymptotic behaviour and delay-dependent H ∞ stability of nonlinear hybrid stochastic delay systems with Lévy jumps
This work investigates the stability properties of nonlinear Markovian switching stochastic differential delay equation systems (MS-SDDEs) with Lévy jumps and time-varying delays. Departing from classical linear growth condition, the coefficient functions of the system are assumed to satisfy a polynomial growth condition in a more general form.
Bibliometric and LDA analysis of the correlation between childhood obesity and precocious puberty (2005–2025)
Abstract Background: Growing evidence supports a close association between childhood obesity and precocious puberty (PP). However, there remains a lack of bibliometric research specifically examining the factors and trends within this intersecting field. A systematic bibliometric analysis would provide a comprehensive understanding of the current research landscape, identify key contributors and emerging trends.

This study examined the country-level associations between overweight/obesity and NCDs prevalence and explored whether these association patterns differed by sex. Methods: This ecological study included 2022 national-level data from 174 countries.
APASA: adaptive selection of informative peritumoral regions for improved automated cancer lesion analysis
Abstract Precise cancer lesion analysis in medical imaging critically depends on the accurate definition of regions of interest (ROIs), which directly influence diagnostic and clinical outcomes. While peritumoral features are known to enhance lesion characterization, efficiently defining meaningful peritumoral ROIs remains a challenge.
Phocaeicola vulgatus improves anxiety-like behavior by ameliorating amygdala neuroinflammation and the neurite impairment in IBS
Abstract Anxiety is highly comorbid with disorders of gut-brain interaction, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The gut microbiota is implicated in both conditions, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study aimed to elucidate the neuropathological basis of anxiety in diarrhea-predominant IBS (IBS-D) and identify potential microbiota-based therapeutic targets. Here, Mendelian randomization analysis established a bidirectional causal relationship between IBS and anxiety.
The role of Slfn4 in myocardial infarction: mechanisms and implications
Myocardial infarction (MI) is characterized by sudden interruption of coronary blood flow, leading to ischemic damage and cardiomyocyte death. Evidence for new molecular targets remains limited. Here, we investigated the role of Schlafen 4 (Slfn4), identified via bioinformatic screening, in MI pathogenesis. We analyzed GSE46395 microarray data and observed elevated Slfn4 expression in ischemic cardiac tissue.
PLAC8 as a potential therapeutic target for myocardial infarction: unraveling the molecular mechanisms
The incidence of myocardial infarction (MI) has been increasing in recent years, and the cause of acute myocardial infarction is apoptosis due to insufficient coronary myocardial blood supply. PLAC8 is a critical gene in the disease process of MI through GEO database research and analysis of differentially expressed genes (DEGs).
Conformal graphene coatings on ordinary fabrics for wearable electronic devices
Abstract Dip-coating ordinary fabrics with conductive macromolecules holds promise for mass-production of next-generation wearable electronics but faces an interaction dilemma in high-entangled fabrics: weak interactions for uniform penetration versus strong for stable coating. Herein, we present a temporal decoupling strategy, designing stage-specific interaction strengths to achieve uniform graphene oxide penetration and robust reduced graphene oxide adhesion.
Deep learning-based frame synthesis enables radiation dose reduction in digital subtraction angiography imaging: a multicenter study
Abstract Background: As an important imaging tool for diagnosing and treating cerebrovascular diseases, the low-dose imaging technology of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) can effectively reduce radiation exposure risks for both patients and operators. To ensure clinical demand while minimizing radiation dose, this study proposed SAVE-Net, which integrates deep learning with optical flow estimation.
Association between triglyceride-glucose-related indices and liver-related events in patients with type 2 diabetes
Abstract Background: Accumulating evidence has linked the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and its derived measures to a broad range of diabetic complications. However, the nature of the association between these indices and subsequent liver morbidity in type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients warrants further investigation. The present analysis assessed the prospective associations between four TyG-based parameters and the incidence of liver-related events (LRE) among people with T2D.
Subsite-specific benefit of induction chemoimmunotherapy in HPV-negative oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma
|
Abstract Purpose: To evaluate whether the addition of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) to induction chemotherapy improves outcomes in HPV-negative oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC), and whether efficacy differs by primary tumor subsite. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 99 patients with newly diagnosed HPV-negative OPSCC treated with induction therapy followed by definitive chemoradiotherapy. Patients received induction chemotherapy alone (IC; n = 73) or IC plus ICI (n = 26).
