Integrative multi-omics characterization of HECTD3 across pan-cancer and its functional validation in thyroid cancer
Abstract The E3 ubiquitin ligase HECTD3 has been associated with many cancers; however, its comprehensive pan-cancer attributes and precise function in Thyroid Carcinoma (THCA) have not been thoroughly elucidated. The objective of this investigation is to systematically characterize the multi-omics landscape, diagnostic/prognostic value, and immunological features of HECTD3 across human cancers.

Why eCPM Alone Can Mislead You When Mobile Game Ad Revenue Drops
When mobile game ad revenue drops, it is tempting to open the ad dashboard and check one number first: eCPM. If eCPM is down, it feels like the answer is obvious. Demand is worse. The network is paying less. Maybe the mediation setup is broken. But in practice, eCPM alone can be a misleading first signal. For small mobile game and app teams, the better question is: Which driver actually changed first?

What Small Mobile Game Teams Should Check When Ad Revenue Drops
When ad revenue drops in a mobile game, the first reaction is usually: “Did eCPM drop?” But in practice, eCPM is only one part of the story. For small mobile game and app teams, I think the better first question is: Which driver actually changed? A simple diagnosis usually starts with a few checks. 1. Did impressions change? Revenue can drop even when eCPM is stable. If impressions fell, the issue may be traffic, retention, session length, ad placement exposure, or a recent product change.

Hierarchical dynamic model for risk-stratified screening of nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Abstract Early detection of nasopharyngeal carcinoma through Epstein-Barr virus serology is hampered by a low positive predictive value. This study aims to develop a hierarchical dynamic model to refine risk stratification among individuals initially identified as medium- or high-risk by Epstein-Barr virus serology. By integrating longitudinal Epstein-Barr virus antibody data with age, sex, and family history, the model is trained using data from the PRO-NPC-001 program.
Nasopharyngeal carcinoma screening using Epstein–Barr virus Cp methylation triage in two population-based screening cohorts
Abstract Nasopharyngeal carcinoma screening in southern China relies on Epstein–Barr virus serology, but its limited positive predictive value leads to excessive referrals. Here we evaluate a triage approach based on nasopharyngeal swab Epstein–Barr virus C promoter methylation quantification (E-CpMQ) among serology high-risk individuals in two population-based screening cohorts (N = 55,682).

Future-aware blood glucose forecasting using knowledge distillation with transformer-based sequence-to-sequence models - Scientific Reports
Abstract Accurate blood glucose level (BGL) forecasting is critical for diabetes self-management and clinical decision-making. Although deep learning models based on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data have achieved encouraging results, most approaches rely exclusively on historical observations and cannot explicitly account for future disturbances, such as insulin delivery and meal intake, that are unavailable at deployment.

Clinical Characteristics and Risk Factors for Nontuberculous Mycobacterial Pulmonary Disease with Chronic Pulmonary Aspergillosis in Patients
Background: The incidence of patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease (NTM-PD) complicated by chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (CPA) has been increasing. CPA is known to be associated with complex treatment regimens and a poor prognosis. However, data from mainland China remain scarce. Objective: This single-center retrospective study aimed to evaluate the clinical characteristics, risk factors, and prognoses of patients with NTM-PD who were coinfected with CPA.

Single-Cell and Spatial Transcriptomic Analyses Deciphering the Three-Layer Architecture of Human Tuberculosis Granulomas
Abstract Granulomas (defining tuberculosis histopathological feature) are central to the host's defense against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, critically influencing patient outcomes. However, knowledge of human granulomas' structure and function are incomplete. This study employs single-cell and spatial transcriptomics to dissect human granuloma's cellular composition, structure, communication and function from 19 pulmonary, lymphatic and skeletal samples.
Biomolecular condensates can function as inherent catalysts
Abstract We report the discovery that chemical reactions such as ATP hydrolysis can be catalyzed by condensates formed by intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs), which themselves lack any intrinsic ability to function as enzymes. This inherent catalytic feature of condensates derives from the electrochemical environments and the electric fields at interfaces that are direct consequences of phase separation.

The inhibitory effect of apatinib on different small cell lung cancer cells and in lung cancer‐bearing mice and patients
1 INTRODUCTION The incidence and mortality rate of lung cancer were high,1 and the fatality rate were high, especially small cell lung cancer (SCLC).2 At present, there is still no effective treatment for SCLC.3 No specific target genes have been identified, so there are no effective targeted drugs for SCLC.4 Etoposide combined with cisplatin is still the first-line treatment for SCLC.5 Although combined radiotherapy can improve the survival of patients with SCLC to some extent, the...

Frontiers | Comparative genomic analysis reveals differential genomic characteristics and featured genes between rapid- and slow-growing non-tuberculous mycobacteria
Introduction Non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are a major category of environmental bacteria that can be divided into rapidly growing mycobacteria (RGM) and slowly growing mycobacteria (SGM) based on their distinct growth rates (Kim et al., 2013). RGM reproduce more rapidly (3–7 days) than SGM (>7 days) in nutrient-rich environments, while SGM are better adapted to nutrient-poor and ecologically challenging environments (Pereira and Ramos, 2020).
