Crystal Facet-Engineering of Metal Halide Perovskite Photocatalysts: Progress and Perspectives
1 Introduction The accelerating global demand for clean energy, combined with escalating environmental challenges, has established photocatalysis as a central pillar of sustainable chemistry [1, 2]. Semiconductor photocatalysts enable the direct transformation of solar energy into chemical fuels and value-added products, offering transformative routes for water splitting to produce hydrogen, carbon dioxide reduction, organic synthesis, and environmental remediation [3-8].

Indoxyl sulfate in the gut–kidney axis: from diet-microbiome interactions to renal injury and targeted therapies
Abstract Indoxyl sulfate (IS) is a prototypical protein-bound uremic toxin, linking dietary tryptophan metabolism by gut microbiota to renal injury. Derived from dietary tryptophan metabolized by gut microbiota into indole, which is subsequently transported to the liver and sulfated to form IS. In circulation, IS binds serum albumin and is actively secreted into urine via renal tubular organic anion transporters.

Gastric cancer tertiary lymphoid structures in the muscularis propria are associated with therapy resistance and promote immunosuppression
Abstract Tertiary lymphoid structures (TLS) are local immune microenvironments within tumors housing T cells and B cells, are often coordinating anti-tumor immunity and associated with better responses to immunotherapy. Here, we use H&E morphological assessment and multiplex immunofluorescence to analyze surgical tumor specimens from 71 patients with gastric cancer (GC) after treatment with neoadjuvant anti-PD-1 therapy, chemotherapy, and subsequent gastrectomy.
Modular and Stereoselective Synthesis of Cyclobutane β -Amino Alcohols
1 Introduction Cyclic β-amino alcohols are important building blocks for the synthesis of biologically active molecules [1-6] and chiral catalysts [7-12], as showcased by those well-documented five-membered and six-membered homologues (Scheme 1A). Comparatively, four-membered β-amino alcohols have been far less explored [13-17], despite increasing interest toward cyclobutane rings in drug discovery (Scheme 1B) [18].
Clinical value of probiotics as adjunctive therapy for diabetic nephropathy: a meta-analysis and trial sequential analysis
Abstract Objective: To comprehensively assess the clinical effectiveness of probiotic supplementation in individuals with diabetic nephropathy (DN). Methods: Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating probiotics for DN were retrieved from eight databases from inception to January 2026. Inflammation, coagulation, and nutritional reserves refine 90-day prognostic stratification after ruptured intracranial aneurysm repair
Abstract Background: Ruptured intracranial aneurysm is a major cause of neurological disability. Existing prognostic models primarily rely on neurological and radiological severity and may overlook systemic biological alterations. Objective: To evaluate whether integrating systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), D-dimer, and prognostic nutritional index (PNI) with clinical-radiological factors improves prediction of 90-day unfavorable neurological recovery after aneurysm repair.
Triggering Hard Lewis Acidity via Oxygen Vacancy Modulation in Cr 2 O 3 to Stabilize MnCoP for Seawater Splitting
1 Introduction Hydrogen has emerged as a premier carbon-neutral energy vector to replace conventional fossil fuels, with water electrolysis serving as a sustainable pathway for large-scale green hydrogen production [1, 2]. However, the scarcity of freshwater resources severely limits the widespread deployment of conventional electrolytic hydrogen production. Consequently, the vast abundance of seawater makes it an attractive alternative electrolyte for sustainable hydrogen generation [3, 4].

Renault, Bergeaud, and Bosquet (hereafter RBB) argue that dating LLM adoption as the first month in which an author's abstract is flagged induces a stopping-time selection that can produce a positive event-study path even when there is no causal effect. Although this mechanism is mathematically possible, it does not constitute proof of a null effect.

A high-dexterity soft neuroprosthetic hand for daily activities
Abstract Robotic prostheses are the primary replacement for upper-limb amputees’ lost hands. Although various neuroprosthetic hands have been developed, featuring both rigid and soft mechanisms, they typically offer grasping-oriented functionality with fewer degrees of freedom (DOFs, ≤6). Herein, we report a dexterous soft neuroprosthetic hand with 11 active DOFs that restores common grasping and fine manipulation, validated by four amputee subjects (aged 38–70 years, male and female).
Overlapping and distinct fatty acid dysregulation in infertility and recurrent spontaneous abortion
Abstract Introduction: Infertility and recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) are common reproductive disorders with rising incidence. Both fatty acid (FA) metabolism and antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL) are known to be associated with reproductive outcomes. However, their interaction and distinct roles in infertility versus RSA remain poorly understood. Methods: This retrospective study included 388 women (64 controls, 135 infertility cases, 189 RSA cases).

Abstract Port container throughput is a barometer of a region’s economic development. Therefore, accurate throughput forecasting is strategically important for efficient port and shipping operations, international trade coordination and regional logistics resource allocation. The COVID-19 pandemic made 2020–2022 container throughput data unrepresentative.

Case Report: A novel strategy for superior petrosal vein management in cerebellopontine angle surgery
Abstract The superior petrosal vein (SPV) is a vital venous drainage system in the posterior fossa. It is often sacrificed during cerebellopontine angle (CPA) surgery to enhance surgical exposure, leading to postoperative complications. This study introduces the “Venous Flow Redistribution” (VFR) technique, a novel approach that preserves the SPV’s main venous trunk while severing its distal connections, thus enabling optimal tumor exposure and minimizing venous injury.
KIAA1199 aggravates sepsis-induced lung injury by promoting complement activation
Abstract Sepsis-induced acute lung injury (ALI) is a life-threatening condition associated with high mortality rates. While emerging evidence suggests that KIAA1199 (also known as cell migration-inducing protein, CEMIP) contributes to the pathogenesis of bacterial infections, its specific role in sepsis-induced ALI remains largely unexplored.

Mycobacterium marinum Infection: A Clinical Case Report and 5-Year Systematic Literature Review (2021–2025)
Introduction Mycobacterium marinum, a slow-growing nontuberculous mycobacterium (NTM), is a ubiquitous environmental saprophyte, widespread in freshwater, brackish water and marine habitats worldwide.1 It is a natural pathogen of fish and acts as an opportunistic zoonotic pathogen for humans. Broken‑skin contact with contaminated water bodies is the dominant risk factor for human cutaneous infection.2 The first human M. marinum infection case was originally described in 1951 by Linell and Norden.
Global lifetime prevalence of schizophrenia: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Currently, studies on the lifetime prevalence of schizophrenia in the general population have not been updated or limited to a single country or region. The lifetime prevalence of schizophrenia may differ in other populations with certain relevant influencing factors or conditions. Globally, there is a lack of meta-analyses focusing on the lifetime prevalence of schizophrenia in specific populations.
Sensitivity comparison of longitudinal cognitive function indicators of Alzheimer’s disease after mild cognitive impairment: a prospective cohort study
Abstract Accurate prediction of progression from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is critical for early intervention. Many existing models lack the ability to capture the nonlinear nature of cognitive decline and individual heterogeneity. This study employed a semi‑parametric joint model to analyze longitudinal cognitive trajectories and identify robust predictors of conversion.
