A unified model-based framework for doublet or multiplet detection in single-cell multiomics data - Nature Communications
Abstract Droplet-based single-cell sequencing techniques rely on the fundamental assumption that each droplet encapsulates a single cell, enabling individual cell omics profiling. However, the inevitable issue of multiplets, where two or more cells are encapsulated within a single droplet, can lead to spurious cell type annotations and obscure true biological findings.
Vacancy-induced giant photogalvanic effect in ${\mathrm{TiSe}}_{2}$ heterojunctions
We adopt nonequilibrium Green's functions and density functional theory to study the effect of Se atom defects on the transport properties and the photocurrent of a 1T−TiSe2 heterojunction. We calculate the photocurrent for two types of defect configurations under the excitation of the linearly polarized light. The results show that Se1 and Se2 vacancy defects can induce large photocurrents, which are explained in terms of the transmission spectrum.

m6A reader IGF2BP2 promotes lymphatic metastasis by stabilizing DPP4 in papillary thyroid carcinoma - Cancer Gene Therapy
Abstract Lymph node metastasis (LNM) is a major cause of locoregional recurrence of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). However, the mechanisms responsible for LNM are unclear. Aberrant N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA modification plays a vital role in cancer progression and metastasis, and whether m6A modification regulates LNM in PTC remains to be determined. This study showed that IGF2BP2 was upregulated in PTC and positively associated with LNM.

Disorder-induced phase transitions in double Weyl semimetals
Abstract The double Weyl semimetal (DWSM) is a newly proposed topological material that hosts Weyl points with chiral charge n=2. The disorder effect in DWSM is investigated by adopting the tight-binding Hamiltonian. Using the transfer matrix method and the noncommutative Kubo formula, we numerically calculate the localization length and the Hall conductivity in the presence of the on-site nonmagnetic disorder or orbital (spin-flip) disorders, and give the corresponding global phase diagrams.
