15-PGDH inhibition in osteoarthritis: PGE 2 skeletal interoception, cartilage regeneration and compartment-managed disease modification
Abstract Osteoarthritis is a whole-joint disease in which cartilage loss, synovial inflammation, subchondral bone remodelling and pain-related neural changes co-evolve, yet structural improvement does not reliably translate into pain relief. This Review centres prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) skeletal interoception in the translational framework for 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH) inhibition.
Incremental prognostic value of the T-helper 1/T-helper 2 immune phenotype and 72-h change in sequential organ failure assessment for in-hospital mortality in sepsis with and without type 2 diabetes: a retrospective two-cohort study
Abstract Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is accompanied by chronic immunometabolic dysregulation and may alter the host response to sepsis. We compared immunometabolic profiles and early organ dysfunction trajectories in patients with sepsis with and without T2DM and evaluated 72-h mortality risk reassessment models.
Genetic Structure Along Temperature Gradient in a Recent Invader Cardamine hirsuta in Eastern Japan
1 Introduction Invasion of alien species has emerged as a considerable issue in recent years because it often has adverse effects on the survival of native species and is detrimental to local ecosystems (Keller et al. 2011; Marbuah et al. 2014; Kovács-Hostyánszki et al. 2022). In many cases, invasive species exhibit rapid spread and successful establishment within a new environment.

Aridity regulates scale-dependent effects of multiple resource additions on productivity stability in Eurasian grasslands
|
Abstract Increasing the supply of multiple limiting resources generally reduces biodiversity and community stability in grasslands. Aridity is known to modify biodiversity-stability relationships, yet it remains unclear whether the effects of multiple resource supply on biodiversity and stability vary along aridity gradients and across spatial scales.

H3K18la in periodontal ligament fibroblasts regulates immune niches and alveolar bone remodeling under mechanical loads
Abstract The metabolism and remodeling of alveolar bone are highly active, which dynamically respond to mechanical force. However, the mechanism of how alveolar bone responds to mechanical force remains elusive. Orthodontics is essentially a physiological process of mechanical force–driven alveolar bone remodeling. Here, we demonstrated that orthodontic tension promoted the expression of glycolysis-related genes in periodontal ligament (PDL) fibroblasts.
Spatial association network characteristics and influence mechanisms of urban land use efficiency from a complex network perspective: county-level evidence from the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei urban agglomeration
Abstract Urban agglomerations have emerged as critical platforms for optimising territorial spatial patterns and promoting regional coordination and high-quality development. These regions exhibit significantly structured characteristics, yet the cross-regional association mechanisms of urban land-use efficiency remain underexplored.
mRNA-1273 SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in people with HIV: an immune correlates analysis of CD4 + T cell responses in the multicenter CoVPN 3008 observational study
|
Abstract T cell correlates of COVID-19 risk are poorly defined, particularly in people with HIV (PWH). CoVPN 3008 (NCT05168813) Part A was a prospective 14,002-participant cohort study that administered one or two doses of mRNA-1273 COVID-19 vaccine, depending on baseline SARS-CoV-2 serostatus, in participants (83% PWH) in sub-Saharan Africa. Participants self-monitored for prespecified COVID-19 symptoms, defined by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention symptom criteria.

Speculative decoding accelerates LLM inference by drafting multiple tokens in parallel, with tree-based methods further improving efficiency through hierarchical structures. Dynamic-tree methods such as EAGLE-3 perform well under greedy decoding via deterministic top-K expansion and global pruning. However, in stochastic decoding (T>0), this mechanism collapses the draft distribution into one-hot probabilities, causing a severe drop in acceptance rate.

Abstract Background: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) exhibits substantial cellular heterogeneity and a complex tumor microenvironment (TME), contributing to poor clinical outcomes. Effective prognostic biomarkers and a deeper understanding of the cellular ecosystems associated with high-risk disease remain urgently needed.
HIF1α-KLF4 signaling dictates extra-erythrocyte expression of hemoglobin conferring sorafenib resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma
Abstract Cancer cells must deal with excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) to survive severe hypoxia and anticancer therapy; however, anti-ROS mechanisms other than the well-known NFE2L2/NRF2 signaling pathway are poorly recognized. Here, we report a ROS scavenging mechanism mediated by HIF1α-KLF4-induced hemoglobin extraerythrocytically expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Induced sputum versus bronchoalveolar lavage in lower respiratory tract infection: an exploratory paired diagnostic study
Abstract Introduction: Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) is widely used for etiologic assessment of lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI), but its invasiveness limits routine use. This study evaluated induced sputum (IS) as a less-invasive specimen for targeted next-generation sequencing (tNGS). Methods: In this prospective exploratory study, paired IS and BALF samples from 30 adults with suspected LRTI underwent tNGS. The primary etiology was determined by composite clinical adjudication.
Enantioselective synthesis of novel C 1 -symmetric N -heterocyclic carbene precursors
Abstract As organocatalysts and ligands, N-heterocyclic carbenes are pivotal in asymmetric catalysis, yet Type III C1-symmetric chiral N-heterocyclic carbenes remain underexplored despite their potential for superior stereocontrol. Here, we develop a family of C1-symmetric chiral N-heterocyclic carbene precursors based on the 1,5,6,10b-tetrahydroimidazo[5,1-a]isoquinoline scaffold in high yields with excellent stereoselectivities (up to 92% yield, >20:1 dr, 99% ee).
