SGLT2 inhibitors attenuate diabetic kidney disease by suppressing YAP dependent ferroptosis
Abstract Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors provide renal protection in diabetic kidney disease (DKD) through mechanisms beyond glucose lowering, but these remain incompletely understood. Here we show that Yes-associated protein 1 (YAP)-dependent ferroptosis contributes to renal tubular injury in DKD and that suppression of this pathway underlies part of the renoprotective effects of dapagliflozin.
Observation of long-lived nitrogen afterglow following low-pressure theta-pinch discharges
Abstract A pulsed theta-pinch discharge was generated in low-pressure nitrogen and nitrogen–oxygen mixtures. Here, we report multisecond postdischarge emission at a total pressure of 1.44 Pa and a discharge voltage of 11 kV. In pure \(\hbox {N}_{2}\), the yellow–green afterglow persisted for approximately 18 s and decreased monotonically without measurable chromatic variation.
ChEMA: exploring multimodal digital phenotyping for just-in-time caregiver-centric intervention in childhood challenging behaviours
ABSTRACT Challenging behaviours are common in childhood and may include outbursts, aggression, and self-stimulatory behaviours that cause distress or interfere with daily functioning. While evidence-based interventions can be effective, caregivers may find it difficult to accurately characterise behavioural manifestations and contextual factors due to busy schedules, limited expertise, and recall biases.

Extending the least-cost theory of stomatal regulation to include soil moisture stress
Abstract Terrestrial biosphere models commonly use empirical scaling factors to represent soil moisture constraints on carbon and water fluxes, but these lack mechanistic grounding and produce inconsistent estimates of soil moisture limitations on primary production and transpiration across models.
Identification and analysis of obesity-cellular senescence associated key genes in metabolic syndrome based on transcriptomic data
Abstract The Intricate relationship between obesity, cellular senescence, and metabolic syndrome (MetS) remains elusive. This study aimed to elucidate mechanisms involving obesity-related genes (ORGs) and cellular senescence-related genes (CSRGs) in MetS. Transcriptomic profiles from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database were analyzed to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) distinguishing MetS patients from healthy controls.
Architectural characteristics and preservation status of traditional dwellings in Luoshan County, Henan
Abstract Rapid urbanization has placed Chinese traditional dwellings at growing risk of loss. Luoshan County, a representative area of southern Henan culture, retains a substantial stock of such dwellings, partly because the northern foothills of the Dabie Mountains have offered geographical protection. However, most remain lack formal grading and are therefore highly vulnerable to natural decay and human disturbance.

Abstract Punica granatum L. peel is rich in tannins and flavonoids. Modern pharmacological studies have indicated its multi-target anticancer potential; however, the molecular recognition mechanisms between its active components and key targets remain to be systematically clarified.
Effects of Yijing decoction on diminished ovarian reserve: associations with mitochondrial function, apoptosis, and the PGC-1α/SIRT3/HIF-1α pathway
Abstract Diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) is a common reproductive disorder that severely impairs female fertility and lacks effective treatments. Protecting granulosa cells (GCs) has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy. Yijing decoction (YJD), a classical Chinese herbal formula, exhibits clinical efficacy against DOR; however, its mechanisms are unclear.
The dual-enhanced graph learning framework DePass allows paired data integration in single-cell and spatial multiomics
Abstract Recent sequencing advances have enabled abundant multi-omics data generation for both single-cell and spatial contexts. Integrating such multimodal data is critical for decoding cellular and tissue-level complexity. However, compared with single-modality profiling, multimodal data often exhibit higher levels of noise, and existing methods typically overlook this challenge during integration.
RCC1 neuropathy mimics childhood axonal Guillain–Barré syndrome with variable clinical severity and survival
GTP guanosine triphosphate. Identification of additional affected individuals from unrelated families supports biallelic RCC1 missense variants as a cause of axonal neuropathy. Five new missense variants in RCC1 reduced protein stability and/or function in vitro. A newly identified phenotype of RCC1 neuropathy was characterized by mild chronic distal weakness in the upper limbs. Patients with earlier-onset RCC1 neuropathy had a poorer prognosis.

Abstract Lead ion (Pb²⁺) contamination poses a severe and persistent threat to environmental safety and human health, demanding ultrasensitive and selective detection strategies. Herein, we fabricate a carboxyl-functionalized black phosphorene-modified surface plasmon resonance sensor (Au+BP-COOH) with built-in electric field enhancement for attomolar-level and highly selective Pb²⁺ detection.
Transcriptome and iRIP-seq reveal RBP-mediated alternative splicing and LGALS3-RMRP interaction in adult degenerative scoliosis
Abstract Adult degenerative scoliosis (ADS) significantly impairs the quality of life of patients. Alternative splicing (AS) is a post-transcriptional regulatory mechanism that can produce functionally diverse proteins. The process of AS is regulated by RNA-binding proteins (RBPs). However, our understanding of the role of AS in ADS is limited. This study constructed a gene regulatory network of AS in ADS and explores the potential roles of AS-related genes and RBPs in the disease.
Human testis-specific TTRP regulates circadian clock as an evolutionarily young natural antisense transcript of PER2
Abstract The circadian clock orchestrates a variety of physiological and behavioral processes, endowing the ability to adapt to the cycling environment. Here, we report the identification of TTRP, a TDP-43 pseudogene that emerged in higher Hominoidea species ~8.6 Mya. TTRP is a human testis-specific gene that overlaps with the clock gene PER2 and interferes with PER2 transcription.

To improve the accuracy of vibration signal estimation, this study proposes a transfer-function-based method for reconstructing environmental vibrations induced by shield tunneling under background noise conditions.
I disegnatori scomparsi
AMizuki Endo è sempre piaciuto vedere i suoi disegni prendere vita.

Stepwise allelic trajectory of ETP2 underlies trade-off between UVB tolerance and submergence adaptation in Arabidopsis thaliana
Abstract Strong UVB radiation critically restricts plant growth, yield, and distribution, while mechanisms enabling adaptation to intense UVB remain unclear. Here, we uncover that the F-box ubiquitin E3 ligase UVBT1 (also known as ETP2) is indispensable for UVB tolerance in A. thaliana. In the high-altitude Tibet accession, a distinctive 166-bp deletion in ETP2 promoter leads to the complete absence of the W-box element, thereby eliminating WRKY36-mediated transcriptional repression.

Molecular conformation engineering in central 8 π -electron system toward unique aggregation-induced ultra-narrowband emission with a FWHM of 13 nm
Abstract Organic emitters with narrowband emission characteristics demonstrate significant advantages and application potential in ultra-high-definition displays and multiplexed fluorescence imaging. However, the obstinate spectral broadening phenomenon upon aggregation limits the practical application of organic narrowband emissive materials. Here, a referable strategy on conformation engineering is proposed in a central 8π-electron system with narrowband emissions in both solution and aggregate.
