LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - After a heated exchange outside Lake Charles council chambers, the two parties involved have decided against pursuing criminal charges, according to the sheriff’s office. The incident happened after a city council agenda meeting on June 23 and involved Fitzgerald Darbone of the African American Chamber of Commerce-Lake Charles and Councilman Ronnie Harvey. Multiple camera angles caught the encounter, which lasted less than a minute.

15 years after allegedly killing his estranged wife, Joe Constance’s whereabouts remain unknown

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The search for Joe Constance, believed to have killed his estranged wife, Jeanette Duhon, is now in its 15th year. Photos of the suspect have been shared across the country, his name still on the FBI’s Most Wanted list, and local investigators continue their search. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Joe Constance on Oct. 16, 2014, after he was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
