Group Shapley values, with application to bond recovery rate prediction
Abstract Grouped feature attribution is increasingly important in high-dimensional applications, where predictors often belong to economically or scientifically meaningful categories and individual SHAP values can become too granular for reliable interpretation. This paper develops a formal inferential framework for assessing whether group-level SHAP-style attributions are statistically significant and complements it with a tree-based grouped implementation for ensemble models.
AP2M1 promotes TNBC progression by stabilizing EGFR through inhibition of lysosomal degradation
Abstract Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive and heterogeneous malignancy, with 50–80% of cases exhibiting elevated EGFR expression. Dysregulated endocytic trafficking contributes to sustained receptor signaling and tumor progression, suggesting endocytosis as a potential therapeutic target. Transcriptome analysis of paired TNBC and adjacent tissues, together with public database analyses, identified AP2M1 as an endocytosis-related gene upregulated in TNBC tissues and cell lines.
Blocking PD1 prevents T-cell-promoted fibrosis in myocardial infarction
|
Abstract Myocardial fibrosis is a common pathological feature that affects the outcome of various heart diseases, typically in the context of myocardial infarction (MI). The role of T cells in heart failure has been increasingly recognized, but whether programmed cell death protein 1 (PD1+) T cells modulate cardiac fibrosis during the post-MI pathological remodeling process remains unclear.

Extracellular vesicle-encapsulated GDF15 alleviates doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity via the SUB1/TERT/TPP signalling axis
Abstract Doxorubicin (DOX) is a highly effective chemotherapeutic agent, but its clinical application is limited by cardiotoxicity. Mitochondrial dysfunction and apoptosis are key mechanisms underlying DOX-induced cardiomyopathy (DIC), while the role of telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) and its specific regulatory mechanisms remain unclear. An in vitro DOX-induced H9C2 cardiomyocyte injury model was established. TERT was overexpressed via adenoviral transfection or inhibited using BIBR1532.

Intercellular interaction licenses TNFα/IFNγ-induced cancer cell apoptosis through the NF2–YAP–TRAIL pathway
Abstract How intercellular contact shapes tumor sensitivity to inflammatory cytokines remains poorly understood. Here, we show that tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) and interferon γ (IFNγ) synergistically trigger extrinsic apoptosis in a striking density-dependent manner across diverse cancer cell lines. High cell density activates the NF2–LATS1/2–YAP Hippo pathway, leading to YAP inactivation and relieving its repression of the death ligand TRAIL.
Beyond the Board: Does CEO-CFO Tenure Staggering Curb ESG Greenwashing?
1 Introduction In recent years, growing concerns over global sustainability challenges and climate change have led to increasing attention to corporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and strategies. Existing research indicates that greater ESG disclosure can enhance a firm's positive environmental image and social reputation (Arayssi et al. 2020).
Lavender essential oil coordinates epidermal GABA shunt and nucleotide turnover to rescue cortisol-induced stress damage
Abstract Sustained elevation of cortisol levels induces epidermal metabolic disorders, triggering cutaneous stress and inflammatory responses. Although “Taikong Blue” lavender essential oil (TLEO) counteracts this damage, how cortisol drives epidermal metabolic network collapse and the precise cell-intrinsic molecular mechanisms of TLEO remain to be elucidated.

Ferroptosis modulation enhances astrocyte-to-neuron conversion induced by a novel chemical cocktail in the hemorrhagic brain
Abstract Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) leads to significant neuronal loss and glial scar formation, but the regenerative capacity of the adult brain remains limited. Although small-molecule-induced astrocyte-to-neuron (AtN) conversion has shown promise in vitro, in vivo applications—particularly under pathological conditions—are still scarce. We aimed to develop and validate a small-molecule cocktail for inducing astrocyte-to-neuron reprogramming in vivo following ICH.
ACSS2-KAT5 complex-driven histone crotonylation orchestrates a pro-inflammatory program to promote the transition from MASLD to MASH
Abstract Inflammation is a pivotal driver of the progression from metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), an aggressive form associated with substantial liver-related mortality. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the initiation and persistence of liver inflammation remain poorly defined.
