Autologous and broadly neutralizing antibodies drive ART-free HIV control
A secondary analysis of trial data shows that both host antibodies and infused antibodies against HIV help to delay viral rebound after interruption of antiretroviral therapy (ART), which could inform approaches to durable, ART-free HIV control.

Enhancing the Potency of the Antimalarial Agent, WEHI-601, Through Stereoselective Fluorination
1 Introduction Malaria is a disease caused by the protozoan Plasmodium, which is transmitted by the bite of female Anopheles mosquitoes [1-3]. Antibodies and T cells join forces for sustained HIV remission
NEWS AND VIEWS 01 December 2025 Two studies suggest that T cells with stem-cell-like properties could work with antibody therapies to control HIV after a person stops taking antiviral pills. Since its introduction in the late 1980s, HIV antiretroviral therapy (ART) has saved millions of lives by transforming HIV from a fatal disease into a chronic, manageable condition.

Predictors of HIV rebound differ by timing of antiretroviral therapy initiation
Abstract Introduction Therapeutics to achieve antiretroviral therapy–free (ART-free) HIV remission will require eventual validation in treatment interruption trials, but the risks, expense, and required duration of the treatment interruptions are obstacles for their use in early-phase clinical studies. As the HIV field increasingly turns toward developing therapies to achieve sustained ART-free HIV remission, biomarkers that can reliably predict this outcome are urgently needed.

In situ atomic-scale imaging of the metal/oxide interfacial transformation
The first step of the study is to create Cu O/Cu interfaces, which is achieved through oxidizing a single-crystal Cu(100) thin film (nominal thickness of ~50?nm, see Methods section) inside the TEM. The Cu thin film is first heated at 600?°C in flowing H gas (pH ?=?10?3?Torr) to generate holes with well-defined and atomically clean {100} and {110} facets, as shown in Fig. 1a. The annealed sample is then oxidized at 350?°C to form Cu O/Cu interfaces by introducing oxygen gas at pO ?=?5×10?3?Torr.

How I became a more effective public speaker in 3 simple steps
Can you remember the first time you spoke in front of a group? My own "first" happened in front of 30 people. My hands were shaking, my legs trembling. “G-g-g-g-good morning everyone. Today I will talk about …” Related: Is This Your Year to Speak — and Get Paid? After that failure, I did whatever it took to overcome my fear of public speaking. I read books on presentations. I watched TED talks. I worked with public speaking coaches. Fast-forward a few months, to when I spoke in front of 200 people.
