The three-story building was completed less than a year after breaking ground. Tours are scheduled to begin Thursday by appointment only. Residents are expected to start moving in mid-July.

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Bangor Housing is putting the finishing touches on Sunridge Senior Housing, a $16 million, 50-unit affordable senior housing facility on Sunset Avenue. The three-story building was completed less than a year after breaking ground. Tours are scheduled to begin Thursday by appointment only. Residents are expected to start moving in mid-July. What’s inside The facility includes an elevator, air conditioning, community space, on-site laundry and parking.

Mainely Spinners raise $6,000 for Sarah’s House through international wool challenge

Mainely Spinners presented a $6,000 donation to Sarah’s House of Holden, a nonprofit that provides a place to stay for patients traveling for treatment. The group raised the money through the International Back to Back Wool Challenge, where teams shear, spin and knit a sweater as fast as possible.
