FOXP4 maintains redox homeostasis in medulloblastoma via upregulation of SLC7A11 to suppress ferroptosis
Abstract Medulloblastoma (MB) is the most common malignant pediatric brain tumor and remains a major therapeutic challenge due to its aggressive behavior, high risk of metastasis, and limited treatment options for high-risk subgroups. The transcription factor FOXP4, a member of the forkhead box (FOX) family, has been implicated in tumorigenesis, including MB progression.
m⁶A-dependent TRIM71 stabilization by YTHDC1 promotes hepatoblastoma progression
Abstract Hepatoblastoma (HB) is the most common primary malignant liver cancer in children. Although complete surgical resection and standardized chemotherapy remain the most effective treatments for HB, they are not curative for all patients. Therefore, a deeper understanding of HB progression and its underlying mechanisms is essential for overcoming these therapeutic limitations.
A Review of the Connections Among Logistic Regression, the Cox Model, Competing Risk Models, and Multi-State Models for Estimating Hazards and Survival Risks
This version is not peer-reviewed. You are already at the latest version Survival analysis has been widely used to understand the etiology of chronic diseases. However, traditional survival analysis models only a single endpoint, whereas the development of chronic diseases is a multi-state process.
Proteogenomic characterization of pulmonary large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma identifies molecular features and therapeutic strategy

A framework for comparative analysis of human and mouse cortical neuron dendrites in corresponding brain regions
Abstract Cross-species comparisons of neuronal morphology can reveal evolutionary diversification of cortical organization, but they remain limited by scarce human reconstructions, uncertain regional correspondence and scale-dependent morphometrics. Here we introduce a region correspondence framework to compare single-neuron dendritic morphology between mouse and human cortex.
SLC13A2-transported citrate remodels transcriptional regulation through protein acetylation to suppress tumor growth
Abstract Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer, while tricarboxylic acid cycle is increasingly recognized as a multifaceted hub driving tumor metabolism and progression. Integrated analysis of solute carrier (SLC) transporters revealed consistent down-regulation of SLC13A2 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells and liver tissues from human patients and mouse models.

From chronic pain to depression: Neurogenesis-driven microglial remodeling in the hippocampal dentate gyrus
Editor’s summary Chronic pain and depression are mutually linked. Ding et al. explored the mechanistic link between chronic pain and depression in humans and rodents (see the Perspective by Beggs and Frankland). In patients and an animal model, early stages of chronic pain were found to be associated with an increase in hippocampal volume, whereas later stages were associated with decreased hippocampal volume. These changes in rats were followed by the development of depressive-like behavior.

Therapeutic targeting de novo purine biosynthesis driven by β-catenin-dependent PPAT upregulation in hepatoblastoma - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract De novo purine biosynthesis (DNPS) was previously shown to be aberrantly activated in many cancers. However, the activity of DNPS pathway and its underlying regulatory mechanism in hepatoblastoma (HB) remain poorly understood. Herein, we discovered that the expression of PPAT, the rate-limiting enzyme in DNPS, was markedly upregulated in HB, leading to an augmented purine flux via DNPS, thereby promoting both HB cell proliferation and migration.
Selective inhibition of TGF-β-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition overcomes chemotherapy resistance in high-risk lung squamous cell carcinoma - Communications Biology
Abstract Lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) represents a major subtype of lung cancer, and it demonstrates limited treatment options and worse survival. Identifications of a prognostic model and chemoresistance mechanism can be helpful for improving stratification and guiding therapy decisions. The integrative development of machine learning-based models reveals a random survival forest (RSF) prognostic model for LUSC.

Recent progress in carbonaceous materials for the hydrogen cycle: Electrolytic water splitting, hydrogen storage and fuel cells
Section snippets Graphene As displayed in Fig. 1, graphene can be prepared by both “top-down” and “bottom-up” approaches. As for “top-down” approaches, the mechanical stripping method was first proposed to gain graphene with high quality in 2004 [34]. However, it is time-consuming and hard to control the number of layers and size of graphene causing single layer graphene to be difficult to identify and separate from multiple layer graphene.

DTCO optimizes critical path nets to improve chip performance with timing-aware OPC in deep ultraviolet lithography
Design technology co-optimization (DTCO) is a potential approach to tackle the escalating expenses and complexities associated with pitch scaling. This strategy offers a promising solution by minimizing the required design dimensions and mitigating the pitch scaling trend. It is worth noting that lithography has played a significant role in dimensional scaling over time. This paper proposes a DTCO flow to reduce the impact of the process variation (PV) band and edge placement error (EPE).

Chemoproteomic mapping of the glycolytic targetome in cancer cells - Nature Chemical Biology
Abstract Hyperactivated glycolysis is a metabolic hallmark of most cancer cells. Although sporadic information has revealed that glycolytic metabolites possess nonmetabolic functions as signaling molecules, how these metabolites interact with and functionally regulate their binding targets remains largely elusive.

Reverse Design of a Novel Coupling Strut for Vibration Attenuation in the Helicopter Cabin
Abstract : Helicopter gearbox support strut is one of the main research objects in the field of vibration and noise control in helicopter cabins. Proteomics analysis uncovers plasminogen activator PLAU as a target of the STING pathway for suppression of cancer cell migration and invasion
The stimulator of interferon genes (STING) pathway is vital for immune defense against pathogen invasion and cancer. Although ample evidence substantiates that the STING signaling pathway plays an essential role in various cancers via cytokines, no comprehensive investigation of secretory proteins regulated by the STING pathway has been conducted hitherto. Herein, we identify 24 secretory proteins significantly regulated by the STING signaling pathway through quantitative proteomics.
