From simulation to pedagogy: multi-model and randomized evaluation of structured AI standardized patients
Abstract Standardized patients (SPs) are central to clinical communication training but remain constrained by cost, scalability, and reliance on trained actors. We present AI standardized patients (AI-SPs), large language model–driven patient simulators built on a three-layer information architecture that adaptively modulates information disclosure according to learner skill.
Archetype analysis of multiplexed antibody imaging reveals interpretable morphological programs in optical pooled screens
Abstract High-content imaging-based screens with small molecule or genetic perturbations rely on rich optical phenotypes, yet how distinct subcellular markers contribute complementary biological information remains unclear. Here, we introduce CellMAPP, a multiplexed organelle imaging platform that uses optical pooled screens with iterative antibody staining to map cellular architecture under perturbation.

Targeting SHMT2 reverses lactate-driven CAF-mediated T-cell exclusion and sensitizes HNSCC to anti-PD-1 immunotherapy
Abstract Resistance to PD-1/PD-L1 blockade in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is frequently attributed to an “immune-excluded” tumor microenvironment (TME); however, the tumor-intrinsic metabolic drivers orchestrating this spatial remodeling remain poorly defined. Here, we identify serine hydroxymethyltransferase 2 (SHMT2) as a critical determinant of the immunosuppressive stromal niche.
Decision-centered wearable biosensors for personalized rehabilitation: integrating multimodal monitoring, artificial intelligence, and closed-loop intervention
Abstract Personalized rehabilitation requires repeated assessment of movement, physiological tolerance, fatigue, and adherence, yet conventional clinic-based measurements provide only intermittent snapshots. The convergence of wearable biosensors with artificial intelligence, edge-cloud computing, and connected data infrastructures creates an opportunity to convert continuous multimodal signals into timely rehabilitation decisions.

Prescribed-time tracking for strict-feedback nonlinear systems with saturation and disturbances: an adaptive boundary approach
Abstract This paper investigates prescribed-time tracking for a class of strict-feedback nonlinear systems subject to input saturation and external disturbances. An improved adaptive prescribed-time control scheme is developed to guarantee that the tracking error evolves within adjustable prescribed-time performance bounds.
Machine learning and deep learning for diagnosis of Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome: systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) is a prevalent endocrine disorder with a challenging, heterogeneous diagnosis. Machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) models show promise for automated diagnosis, but a quantitative synthesis of their accuracy is lacking. Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of ML/DL models for PMOS and identify factors influencing performance.
Unveiling the landscape of Mottness and its proximity to superconductivity in 4Hb-TaS 2
Abstract Mott physics lies at the heart of many intriguing quantum phenomena. Recently, van der Waals materials emerge as a powerful platform to explore these correlated electronic states, yet tracking how such a Mott state develops and interacts with neighboring phases remains an experimental challenge.
GA₃ and NAA foliar application enhances fruit set, quality, and storage performance in ‘Fengtang’ plum by regulating endogenous hormonal balance
Abstract The development of the high-value ‘Fengtang’ plum industry in Guizhou Province is constrained by a low fruit set rate and inconsistent fruit quality. This study investigated the efficacy of exogenous plant growth regulators (PGRs)—gibberellic acid (GA3) and naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA), applied individually or in combination at flowering—on improving fruit set, yield, growth dynamics, quality, and storage characteristics.
Multimodal neuroimaging elucidates the posterior-to-anterior gradient of nigrostriatal degeneration in Parkinson’s disease
|
Abstract Parkinson’s disease (PD) exhibits a characteristic posterior-to-anterior gradient of striatal dopamine loss, yet the underlying upstream mechanisms remain unclear. We combined in vivo ¹⁸F-FPCIT dopamine transporter (DaT) PET/MRI, quantitative susceptibility mapping, and diffusion MRI tractography in 48 PD patients and 10 healthy controls to test whether substantia nigra pars compacta (SNc) iron and microstructural disruption mediate posterior putaminal vulnerability.

Zero-shot de novo peptide sequencing with open posttranslational modification discovery
Abstract De novo peptide sequencing directly infers sequences from mass spectrometry data without relying on protein databases. Although recent deep learning models can also identify posttranslational modifications (PTMs), they require labeled training data for this task.

The SHEDs-derived apoptotic bodies for inflammatory regulation in spinal cord repair
Abstract Neuroinflammation is a key therapeutic target for spinal cord injury (SCI). Apoptotic bodies (ABs) derived from mesenchymal stem cells may modulate early inflammation, promoting SCI repair. Stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHEDs), with neural crest origins, are promising for neurological therapies, but their ABs’ role in SCI remains unclear.

Constant air gap control simulation of linear induction motor of metro vehicle
In order to research the influence of suspension types of linear induction motor (LIM) on the dynamics performance of vehicle system, and further decrease the air gap fluctuation of LIM and reduce wheel-rail impact by using active suspension, the multi-body dynamics model of metro vehicle was set up. The electromagnetic force model of LIM was built by using classical electromagnetic theory. The model of constant air gap control system with electromechanical actuator was established.

In order to research the dynamics performance of linear-motor metro vehicle and the suspension characteristics of linear induction motor (LIM), the classical electromagnetic mechanics model and finite element model of LIM, and the multibody dynamics model of the vehicle were established. The longitudinal and lateral end effects and air gap were taken into account in the classical model. Numerical method was adopted to solve the traction force, normal force and pitch moment of LIM.

Effect of conditioned stimuli-triggered memory retrieval-extinction in patients with methamphetamine use disorder - Translational Psychiatry
Abstract Methamphetamine (METH) is a widely abused stimulant that affects the central nervous system. The persistent maladaptive conditioned stimuli (CS, drug cues)-drug associative memories represent a primary factor precipitating relapse. Interfering with the reconsolidation of these memories may help disrupt and modify these maladaptive CS-drug associations, potentially reducing their influence on drug-seeking behavior.
