BATON ROUGE, La. (Aging Untold) — Roller skating is surging again, driven in part by social media. Some skaters say the renewed popularity is more than a trend. It’s about freedom, community and a chance to reset. At Skate Galaxy in Baton Rouge, skaters described the rink as a place to focus and leave daily problems outside. “When you come in here, you leave all those negative problems outside because once you put skates on, you have to stay focused,” Coach L.T. Otis said.
