A native of Cedar Bluff in Cherokee County, Alabama, Ty joined WTVY in June 2022 after a nine-year career in radio in on-air and producer roles.
His media career began in August 2013 at the University of Alabama's student-run WVUA-FM, with him going on to work at WKEA in Scottsboro as a part-time producer and on-air talent.
