Changes in inpatients' perceptions of the quality of smart healthcare services at county-level public hospitals in Chongqing: a repeated cross-sectional study, 2019-2025
Abstract Objective: This study examined temporal changes in the quality of smart healthcare services perceived by inpatients at county-level public hospitals in Chongqing across three survey waves conducted in 2019, 2021, and 2025, and assessed differences across patient subgroups. The findings may inform evaluations of smart healthcare development and the ongoing optimization of healthcare services.
Clinical and genetic characteristics of patients with disorders of sex development in a large unselected cohort of China
|
Abstract Disorders of sex development (DSD) encompass a range of congenital conditions characterized by atypical chromosomal, gonadal, or anatomical sex development. Accurate diagnosis and management of DSD are crucial for optimal patient outcomes. This research aims to characterize the clinical and genetic characteristics of a large Chinese cohort of children with non‑chromosomal DSD, with particular focus on the most frequently implicated genes and their diagnostic implications.

Carbonylation-driven oligomerization causes protein discoloration as a potential mechanism of skin tone alteration
|
Abstract Skin yellowness is a predominant age-related concern, particularly among North Asian populations, and is suspected to be associated protein carbonylation. However, the precise chemical mechanisms linking skin yellowness and protein carbonylation remain unclear. This study elucidates these mechanisms by investigating the protein yellowing process induced by carbonylation.

Metabolic Reprogramming in Glioblastoma Stem Cells Promotes Radiation Resistance Through a H3K18la/USP30/MBOAT2 Axis
1 Introduction Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive primary malignancy of the central nervous system and remains largely incurable despite maximal surgical resection followed by radiotherapy and temozolomide-based chemotherapy [1, 2]. A major barrier to durable therapeutic response is the persistence of glioma stem cells (GSCs), a self-renewing tumor cell population that drives tumor propagation, recurrence, and resistance to conventional therapies [3-5].
Triple-Helix Biomolecules Construct Self-Adaptive Multi-Phase Interfaces for Dendrites Immunized Zinc Metal Anodes
1 Introduction Aqueous zinc metal batteries (AZMBs) have attracted increasing attention as next-generation energy storage systems owing to their intrinsic safety, low cost, high theoretical capacity (820 mAh g−1), and low redox potential (-0.76 V vs. SHE) [1, 2]. With non-flammable aqueous electrolytes and earth-abundant Zn anodes, AZMBs offer advantages over lithium- and sodium-ion batteries in sustainability and safety [3-6].
PLA2G2F suppresses ferroptosis through phospholipid remodeling
Abstract Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent form of regulated cell death driven by phospholipid peroxidation, and it has emerged as a potential therapeutic vulnerability of cancer. Here we identify the secretory phospholipase PLA2G2F (phospholipase A2 group IIF) as a ferroptosis suppressor in bladder cancer and elucidate its regulation and mechanism of action. PLA2G2F functions through an intracellular mechanism by localizing to the endoplasmic reticulum to inhibit ferroptosis.
Association between dynamic changes in lumbar back temperature during professional driver training and lumbar muscle endurance: a longitudinal study
Abstract Objective: To investigate the dynamic changes in lumbar-back temperature associated with low back pain (LBP) during the training period of professional drivers and its influencing factors, analyze the correlations of infrared thermal imaging parameters with lumbar muscle endurance and LBP symptoms. Methods: A longitudinal follow-up study was conducted involving 135 male truck driving trainees from a driving school.
Geomag Mimetic Dynamically Reconfigurable POSS Framework Enables Antifatigue Solid Electrolyte Interphases for Lithium Metal Anodes
1 Introduction The accelerated demand for electric vehicles and grid-scale energy storage systems has underscored the limitations of conventional lithium-ion batteries, particularly those employing graphite anodes [1]. To achieve next-generation high-energy-density storage, lithium (Li) metal anodes (LMAs) have reemerged as a compelling alternative due to their exceptionally high theoretical specific capacity (3,860 mAh g−1) and the lowest electrochemical potential (−3.04 V vs. SHE) [2].

Case report and literature review: isolated ACTH deficiency induced by combined nivolumab and trastuzumab therapy in gastric adenocarcinoma
Abstract Background: Isolated adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) deficiency (IAD) is an uncommon endocrine disorder characterised by the selective reduction or absence of pituitary ACTH secretion, resulting in secondary adrenal insufficiency while other pituitary hormone axes remain functional. The clinical manifestations of this condition are frequently non-specific, and may include symptoms such as fatigue, decreased appetite, weight loss, hypotension, and hyponatremia.

Using period analysis to timely provide serial data on long-term survival for liver cancer patients from China
Abstract Background: Timely evaluation of long-term survival in liver cancer is essential for assessing early detection and screening efficacy. However, population-based survival data in China remain scarce, particularly for multi-decade analyses. This study systematically evaluated age-standardized 5-year relative survival (RS) in Taizhou, eastern China, and quantified temporal improvements from 2004 to 2023.

How to Model Coupled Inductors in a SEPIC Converter
This article discusses how to best model coupled inductors in a single-ended primary inductance converter (SEPIC) topology. Methods to build a proper model are introduced and the equations are included. If the coupled inductor is not modeled correctly, the simulated result can be quite different from the bench result. A single-ended primary inductance converter (SEPIC) topology allows for the input to be higher, equal, or lower than the desired output voltage (Figure 1).

Protein kinase A regulates ferroptosis by controlling GPX4 m6A modification through phosphorylation of ALKBH5 - Cell Death & Differentiation
Abstract GPX4-dependent ferroptosis has emerged as a therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment. Here, we demonstrated that protein kinase A (PKA) participates in the regulation of ferroptosis by controlling the m6A modification of GPX4 in an ALKBH5-dependent manner. Notably, we identified ALKBH5, an m6A demethylase, as a novel target of PKA, which drives phosphorylation-dependent degradation of ALKBH5 protein.
