Effect of Ti 3 SiC 2 and SiC on Mechanical and Tribological Properties of Copper Matrix Composites With Different Content
1 Introduction Within the modern high-end manufacturing sector, achieving a multidimensional balance in material performance has emerged as a critical prerequisite for overcoming technical bottlenecks. Electrical connectors used in aerospace applications are subjected to simultaneous vibration, frictional contact, and electrical current loading, thereby demanding materials that integrate outstanding wear resistance, ablation resistance, and superior electrical conductivity.
The impact of institutional market power on excess returns of wealth management products in China
By utilizing detailed data on wealth management products (WMPs) disclosed after the promulgation of the New Asset Management Regulation (NAMR), we empirically investigate the impact and transmission channels of deposit market power on excess returns of WMPs in China, and two main conclusions are drawn.
Global Estimate of Reservoir Hydropower Storage Potential Based on SWOT Observations
1 Introduction As the planet transitions to a new climate, the global energy system is undergoing a profound transformation toward carbon neutrality (Brauman et al., 2020; Lenton et al., 2023). The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has identified human activities, particularly the combustion of fossil fuels, as the primary drivers of this change (Calvin et al., 2023; Dong et al., 2022; Scheffran et al., 2020; Semieniuk et al., 2021).
Structure and mechanism of HDV ribozymes revealing Lewis acid catalysis by a metal ion
Abstract We have determined the molecular structure and investigated the catalytic mechanism of two ribozymes of the Hepatitis delta virus family, found in the nematode Caenorhabditis briggsae and virus Ackermannviridae. Crystal structures of both conform to the double-pseudoknot architecture adopted by the viral HDV ribozyme. The C. briggsae ribozyme has been determined both pre- and post-cleavage.
Comparative Efficacy of Triamcinolone versus Dexamethasone in Local Injection for Stenosing Tenosynovitis of the Metacarpophalangeal Joint: A Retrospective Cohort Study
Abstract Background Local glucocorticoid injection is first-line therapy for stenosing tenosynovitis. However, the comparative efficacy of lipophilic sustained-release triamcinolone versus hydrophilic short-acting dexamethasone remains underexplored. This study aimed to compare clinical outcomes of triamcinolone versus dexamethasone in metacarpophalangeal joint injection, with hypothesis-generating exploration of how differential pharmacokinetics may influence efficacy and recurrence.

Genome sequencing based sequential diagnostic strategy improve diagnosed yield of pediatric genetic kidney disease: a national multicenter study
|
Abstract Genetic kidney disease (GKD) is a major cause of pediatric chronic kidney disease. Many patients remain genetically unresolved by exome sequencing (ES) and copy number variation (CNV) analysis. Genome sequencing (GS) enables a comprehensive detection of genetic variations. This study evaluates a GS-based sequential strategy to determine the diagnostic yield in pediatric GKD.

Whether regulated cell-death (RCD) programs are consistently altered across independent transcriptomic cohorts remains uncertain. Methods: We reanalyzed three public bulk RNA-seq cohorts. GSE140731 was the discovery cohort (22 AC and 26 shoulder-instability surgical controls), and GSE190023 and GSE238053 were independent validation cohorts.
Human imprints on global riverfronts
Abstract Rivers are profoundly shaped by human activity along their water-land interfaces (riverfronts), yet the global distribution and drivers of these imprints remain poorly understood. Here we present a high-resolution global map of 7.52 million kilometers of riverfronts using satellite imagery and deep learning. We find that nearly 20% of global riverfronts are anthropogenically modified, primarily by agriculture (13.43%) and built-up areas (6.29%).

Cattle and human organoids reveal 2.3.4.4b H5N1 cross-species transmission potential and neuraminidase-specific neutralizing antibodies in humans
|
Abstract The unexpected circulation of clade 2.3.4.4b H5N1 influenza viruses in dairy cattle and the transmission to diverse mammalian species poses a pandemic risk. We sought to explore cattle and human respiratory susceptibility to the 2.3.4.4b H5N1 virus. We establish long-term expandable cattle airway and mammary organoids. The 2.3.4.4b H5N1 virus exhibits high replicative fitness in cattle mammary organoids, recapitulating its remarkable mammary tropism.

PRAS40-driven pro-inflammatory macrophage polarization is required for inflammatory bowel disease
Abstract Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) are chronic inflammatory disorders with unclear pathogenesis and limited therapeutic options. Macrophage dysfunction is central to IBD progression, yet how metabolic reprogramming governs macrophage function is poorly defined. Although the proline-rich Akt substrate of 40 kDa (PRAS40) is known to be important in colon cancer, its role in IBD is elusive.

Miniature and versatile genome regulation TnpB-ωRNA toolkits facilitate cancer immunotherapy
Abstract CRISPR‒Cas systems represent powerful tools for genome regulation. However, the large size of Cas proteins limits their efficient delivery via an adeno-associated virus (AAV), thereby restricting their clinical translation. Here, we engineer the IS200/IS605 transposon-encoded nuclease TnpB, along with its ωRNA scaffold, to create an enhanced TnpB system, which serves as a compact toolkit for gene activation, genome editing, and base editing.

Abstract Familial hypomagnesaemia with hypercalciuria and nephrocalcinosis (FHHNC) is a rare autosomal recessive tubulopathy caused by mutations in the CLDN16 or CLDN19 genes, patients usually develop hypomagnesemia, hypercalciuria, nephrocalcinosis and renal failure early in life, and those with CLDN19 gene mutations have ocular findings in addition.
CBX2 phase-separation contributes to homologous recombination repair and drug resistance in ovarian cancer
Abstract Drug resistance jeopardizes the prognosis of high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC) patients via DNA damage repair-coupled mechanism. The role of biomolecular phase separation in DNA damage repair has loomed. Here we find that CBX2 condensates are associated with drug resistance and contribute to DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair in HGSOC. Specifically, CBX2 condensates facilitate the recruitment of key DSB repair factors PARP1, 53BP1, and BRCA1 to chromatin.
