Physics-aware neural networks enable robust and full atomic structure determination via low-dose atomic electron tomography
Abstract Atomic electron tomography (AET) determines the three-dimensional (3D) coordinates and chemical identities of individual atoms from a series of scanning transmission electron microscopy images taken at different tilt angles. However, under dose-limited conditions, particularly at electron doses lower than those typically used for standard AET of beam-robust inorganic nanoparticles, the reduced signal-to-noise ratio forces a trade-off among accuracy, robustness, and throughput.

Solid–vapor synthesis of dynamic crystalline one-dimensional supramolecular polymers from amorphous macrocycles
Abstract Crystalline supramolecular polymers (CSPs), unlike conventional supramolecular polymers in soft-matter phases, possess ordered polymeric structures for establishing structure–function relationships. However, most reported CSPs lack the dynamic and responsive characteristics intrinsic to supramolecular polymers due to their dense molecular packing.
Thermally prolonged luminescence lifetime by energy migration engineering for optical temperature sensing
Because of the high robustness, superior spatial resolution, and rapid thermal response, luminescence lifetime-based nanothermometry has presented great potential applications in biomedicine. However, conventional luminescence lifetime thermometry is implemented by thermally activated quenching processes, which deteriorate both emission intensity and lifetime at elevated temperatures, thereby compromising the signal quality and the measurement accuracy.

Elastically Bendable Metal–Organic Framework Crystals for Efficient Flexocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution from Water
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! As a new type of porous material, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as promising platforms for mechanocatalytic hydrogen evolution from water splitting via piezocatalysis. However, because MOFs usually possess symmetric structures, only a few can be utilized as piezocatalysts, which generally exhibit a low catalytic efficiency.

Development and Validation of a Model to Predict Secondary Arrhythmia in Patients With Epilepsy
1 Introduction Epilepsy is one of the most prevalent neurological disorders. A growing body of epidemiological and correlational evidence indicates a strong association between epilepsy and arrhythmias [1-3]. Patients with epilepsy (PWE) have a higher risk of arrhythmias than healthy people. Some malignant arrhythmias can even lead to sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) [4], which is the leading cause of epilepsy-related mortality in both children and adults [5, 6].

Case Report: A case of aural myiasis in an elderly bedridden patient with newly diagnosed Parkinson’s syndrome
Introduction Myiasis, derived from the ancient Greek word “myia” (meaning fly), is defined as the infestation of live humans or animals by fly larvae (1). Due to improved living standards, human myiasis has become less prevalent. Within otorhinolaryngology, aural myiasis remains a rare clinical entity (2).

Associations between psoriasis and risk of 33 cancers: a Mendelian randomization study - BMC Cancer
To clarify the potential associations between psoriasis and the risk of common cancers, this study used data from multiple large studies of European populations, including the UK Biobank, FinnGen consortium, and other large-scale cancer databases. The combined results of the meta-analysis suggest a potential association between genetically predicted psoriasis and lower risk of uterine corpus cancer and prostate cancer.

Next-Generation saRNA Platforms: Systematic Screening and Engineering Enhances Superior Protein Expression and Organ-Specific Targeting for RNA Therapeutics
Abstract Self-amplifying RNA (saRNA), derived from alphaviruses, encodes nonstructural proteins (NSP1-4) that form a replicase complex, enabling prolonged and amplified protein expression at lower doses than conventional mRNA. However, its high immunogenicity and limited replication efficiency require optimization for improved protein expression.

Statins' protective effects on focal epilepsy are independent of LDL‐C
Statins do not broadly reduce epilepsy risk but may lower post-stroke focal epilepsy risk. Elevated LDL cholesterol mediated by HMGCR increases the risk of focal epilepsy. No significant association was found between HMGCR expression and generalized epilepsy risk. Statins' neuroprotective effects likely stem from anti-inflammatory and post-stroke recovery mechanisms. 1 INTRODUCTION Epilepsy is a neurological disorder affecting 65 million people worldwide.

Strain release by 3D atomic misfit in fivefold twinned icosahedral nanoparticles with amorphization and dislocations - Nature Communications
Abstract Multiple twinning to form fivefold twinned nanoparticles in crystal growth is common and has attracted broad attention ranging from crystallography research to physical chemistry and materials science. Lattice-misfit strain and defects in multiple twinned nanoparticles (MTP) are key to understand and tailor their electronic properties. However, the structural defects and related strain distributions in MTPs are poorly understood in three dimensions (3D).

Continuous Blood Gas Control Based on Active Disturbance Rejection Control During Ex Vivo Porcine Liver Perfusion
Background Membrane oxygenators facilitate extracorporeal gas exchange, necessitating the monitoring of blood gas. Recent advances in normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) for ex vivo liver offer solutions to the shortage of donor liver. However, maintaining physiological blood gas levels during prolonged NMP is complex and costly. Methods We introduce a noninvasive and economical approach for regulating the blood gas during NMP of ex vivo porcine livers.
Triple knockdown of CD11a, CD49d, and PSGL1 in T cells reduces CAR-T cell toxicity but preserves activity against solid tumors in mice
Editor’s Summary A major challenge in developing CAR-T cell therapies for solid tumors is that solid tumors generally lack unique targets that are not expressed on healthy tissue. One way to circumvent that problem is to exploit the differential migration of CAR-T cells into tumor versus healthy tissue. Here, Wang et al. do just that by deleting genes required for CAR-T cell migration into healthy tissue.
