Structural basis of the transport mechanism of hBGT1
Abstract In the kidney and liver, the betaine/γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) transporter 1 (BGT1) transports betaine to maintain the osmotic balance of renal medullary cells and reduce the toxicity of homocysteine accumulation. In the brain, BGT1 reuptakes GABA from the synaptic cleft into glial cells to terminate GABAergic signaling. Despite its importance, the molecular mechanisms of BGT1 substrate recognition and ion coupling remain unknown.

Abstract China has expanded forest cover through the world’s largest afforestation initiative and the Natural Forest Protection Program (NFPP), yet national fragmentation trends remain uncertain because most assessments aggregate forest types. Here we map fragmentation dynamics of natural and planted forests across China (1990–2020) using composite structural and connectivity metrics.
Additive Engineering for Ambient Blade-Coated CsPbBr 3 Films Enabling High-Performance Self-Powered X-Ray Detection
1 Introduction When X-rays pass through an object, materials of different densities absorb X-ray energy differently. This principle is widely used in medical diagnosis and industrial non-destructive testing to reveal internal structural information of materials [1]. In this process, X-ray detectors play a pivotal role by converting the absorbed X-ray energy into measurable signals, determining the efficiency, resolution, and sensitivity of the entire imaging system.
Functional recurrent neural network for vector-on-functional data modeling
ABSTRACT In recent years, functional neural networks (FNNs) have been widely employed to model independently and identically distributed (i.i.d.) functional data. However, functional time series typically exhibit strong temporal dependence across observations. Existing approaches generally incorporate several lags of the series as inputs to construct an FNN model, but this strategy fails to fully exploit historical information.
Galvanic Replacement Synthesis Enabled by Gallium-Based Liquid Metal: A Powerful Route for Material Design and Versatile Applications
1 Introduction Materials constitute the cornerstone of human production and life, every breakthrough of which has consistently propelled the progress of civilization [1]. As technology evolves, demand has shifted from simple, monolithic substances to complex, multifunctional systems. For instance, flexible electronic devices require materials that are both highly conductive and mechanically compliant, but these properties are rarely achieved by pure metals or polymers alone [2, 3].
