AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - As America prepares to celebrate 250 years as a nation in 2026, the Augusta Museum of History is highlighting the role Augusta played in the Revolutionary War. Krystal Lyon, head of education at the Augusta Museum of History, said the city’s Revolutionary War history is sometimes overlooked. “Lots of people talk about the Civil War in American history in this area, but there were no battles here in Augusta during the Civil War,” Lyon said.
