Pulmonary nodules: classification, biomarkers, signaling pathways, diseases, early diagnosis and management
Abstract Pulmonary nodules are increasingly detected by thoracic imaging and low-dose computed tomography-based lung cancer screening, but most are benign, transient, or indolent. Clinically, the key task is to distinguish nodules that require timely cancer-directed evaluation from those that can be safely observed.
A photoinduced, FeX 3 -catalyzed, stereo- and regio-selective halofunctionalization of olefins with MX n via a radical-polar crossover reaction
Abstract The classical reaction for the halofunctionalization of olefins involves hazardous and highly toxic molecular halogens. The goal of chemists is to establish green, inherently safe, highly efficient and sustainable synthetic methods. Here, we report a green approach for the halofunctionalization of alkenes with MXn and FeX3, as well as a nucleophile at room temperature under visible-light irradiation in AcOH/CH3CN, without strong oxidants and any ligand.
Comparing students’ reception of AI-based video feedback and written feedback: A Q methodological study
This study employed Q methodology to investigate how students received AI-based video feedback and written feedback on their language interpreting performance and the factors contributing to the reception differences. Thirty-four students participated in a Q sort with 59 statements. Horst 5.5 Centroid Factor Analysis was then performed, incorporating varimax rotation and manual adjustments to extract patterns. Q-based interviews with nine participants provided deeper insights.
Effects of ASR and MT Support on Interaction Efficiency in Technology-Assisted Interpreting: A Cognitive Ergonomics Perspective
Abstract Research has investigated the effects of automatic speech recognition (ASR) and machine translation (MT) assistance on interpreting performance and cognitive load (CL). However, few studies have analyzed the process-product efficiency from a cognitive ergonomics perspective. This study recruited 16 interpreter trainees to perform English-Chinese consecutive interpreting (CI) in a within-subjects design across four conditions: ASR-only, MT-only, integrated ASR-MT and unassisted.
Integrated omics analysis identifies GSTA1 and ALDH1A1 as candidate biomarkers for low-level albuminuric diabetic kidney disease: a mixed prospective-retrospective cross-sectional study
Abstract Objective: Diagnosing a non-albuminuric diabetic kidney disease (DKD) remains challenging, primarily attributable to the absence of specific biomarkers. This study identifies potential biomarkers via integrated proteomic-metabolomic analysis, to provide evidence for optimizing DKD management. Methods: This combined retrospective and prospective observational study were conducted at the Department of Endocrinology.
Effects of Wall-broken yeast powder on gut microbiota and serum metabolome in captive forest musk deer ( Moschus bere-zovskii )
Abstract Forest musk deer (Moschus berezovskii), a nationally protected species, has experienced a rapid population decline, highlighting the need to improve captive breeding strategies. Captive individuals are more susceptible to gastrointestinal disorders than wild individuals, making dietary regulation important for intestinal health.

Effects of a “5 + 2” dietary management model on body composition and behavioral modification in Chinese children with obesity: a prospective, non-randomized controlled trial
Abstract Introduction: Continuous energy restriction may be associated with poor adherence and a risk of muscle mass loss in pediatric obesity management. This study evaluated the effects of a structured “5 + 2” dietary management model—cycling 5 weekdays of calorie-restricted diet with 2 weekend days of high-protein diet—supported by standardized supplements and professional supervision.

Edge-intelligent vision-based robotic manipulation for real-time pick-and-place in dynamic industrial environments
Abstract Robust perception, fast decision-making, and reliable closed-loop control under uncertainty are necessary for vision-based robotic manipulation in dynamic industrial settings. An edge-intelligent robotic manipulation framework for pick-and-place tasks is presented in this work. It combines perception, calibration, motion planning, and control into a single simulation-based closed-loop architecture.

Association between baseline pulse pressure and prognosis in critically ill patients: a retrospective cohort study
Abstract To investigate the association between baseline pulse pressure (PP) and mortality in critically ill patients. This cohort study analyzed 22,035 ICU patients from the MIMIC-IV database. Baseline PP was defined as the first recorded value after admission. Outcomes included in-hospital, 180-day, and 365-day all-cause mortality. Feature importance was assessed using XGBoost. The relationship between PP and mortality was modeled with smooth curve fitting and threshold analysis.
Bioresorbable electrochemical sensors for continuous deep-tissue lactate monitoring in critical care
|
Abstract Lactate is a key metabolite and prognostic biomarker, reflecting oxygen delivery, cellular demand, and mitochondrial function. Current clinical lactate monitoring, however, relies on intermittent blood sampling, limiting localized interrogation, dynamic tracking and early intervention in critical care. Here, we report a bioresorbable and flexible electrochemical sensor for continuous deep-tissue lactate monitoring.

Receptiveness of physicians towards artificial intelligence-driven drug prescription: a nationwide survey
|
Abstract Using artificial intelligence (AI) to prescribe drugs has advanced slowly. Whether a “doctor-in-the-loop” design would increase acceptance of drug-prescribing AI is unknown, as are settings where physicians envision AI-driven drug prescription most likely to be implemented. We surveyed a stratified sample of 2708 physicians throughout China to interrogate their opinions on drug-prescribing AI.

Spatial scaling of metagenomic diversity reveals ecological disruption in the gut microbiome of gout patients
Abstract Gout, a painful inflammatory arthritis, is characterized by hyperuricemia and monosodium urate crystal deposition, with growing evidence linking its pathogenesis to gut microbiome dysbiosis. However, traditional diversity metrics fail to capture the complex spatial organization of microbial communities.

Enhanced Oxygen Redox Activity and Structure Stability of P2‐Type Manganese‐Based Cathodes Through Medium‐Entropy Strategy
1 Introduction Manganese-based layered transition metal (TM) oxides and derivatives are promising for large-scale applications due to their low cost. Among them, P2-type structures offer superior rate capability, cycling life, and energy density [1, 2]. This is because of their open Na+ diffusion pathways, wide interlayer spacings, and high operating voltages. However, these materials suffer from structural instability during cycling.
